It's Star Wars, I feel like you can literally use that sentence and end it with anything like:
Man why does everyone want to go back to Endor
Man why does everyone want to go back to Tatooine
Man why does everyone want to go back to AT-ATs
Leia should start the movie dead, the "new" footage should just be flashbacks. I don't see how they could write her into living through the film with a bunch of unused TFA footage. That would be weird. The Millennium Falcon has to go.

When I saw TLJ in the cinema, my reaction was "some of the humor was bad, and the Canto Bight part felt incredibly tacked on when you had the main plot of the movie, but that it overall really reminded me of why I love Star Wars.
Since then, all the bombardment of the hate for the movie, has made me weary of rewatching it.
I have it on Blu-Ray, but I'm scared :(

For me its get better every rewatch.
Don't let peoples negativity ruin your enjoyment of the movie.
You just have to take it for what it is. If it reminds you of why you love SW, the rest is just noise. Enjoy it.
You gonna be salty when Ben Solo flies it off into the darkness in exile at the end of A New Order with Chewie awkwardly growling and Lando slapping him on the back with Finn, Poe, and Rey smiling in celebration of victory. And then of course Rey's silent nod to a force ghost Luke in the background next to force ghost Han Solo because reasons.
So hyped for this. I've been doing pretty well to avoid major spoilers so I hope to god there's a very strongly enforced policy here against big spoilers thread titles. I'll be livid if something major gets spoiled.
As for the film, TFA had real character and great characters, hoping for more of the same, on an epic scale for this finale. Cannot wait!

Do you think he feels a little bit sad about it? It's like: "Okay John, you are going to be the new hero of Star Wars." And then five years later: "Here's your blaster bud, you earned it."

Star Wars X will tease her at the end, then she'll finally show up in XI as a sixty old drunkard who can't tell which end of the lightsaber she's meant to hold towards her enemy.
Then she'll die and you'll wonder why they even bothered.
LOL. What a swerve. Still undecided as to whether it was genius or reckless. Have to admire the audacity of it but the tonal whiplash is crazy. Last Jedi reminded me a bit of The Matrix Reloaded where the movie just says NOPE to everything you were expecting.
I hope so. I'm already done with this entire era.
I want Rian's new set of films to move way forward and leave all this nostalgia crap behind.
If JJ can strike a healthy balance between what the previous two did right then this could be a pretty good one. Just wish the last 30 minutes of TLJ didn't happen, would've liked Luke to play a bigger role, but then again I feel force ghost Luke could be neat.
Still my favorite picture of my boy Finn. Nothing since then has hyped me up more than this image lol. Hope he ends the trilogy on a high note.
