I'll watch it, but I could easily not see another trailer. I would rather have not seen Rey with the double lightsaber until the movie.

Maz was supposed to be in that spot, but then she was removed from the Resistance base. The red protocol droid on the right is the real Threepio, just color shifted to look different.

So I've saved the most recent teaser gig (the one with "Darth Rey") in order to savor it when we were closer to the trailer. By all accounts, we are now fairly close to the trailer. Time to watch.
That would seriously make for a good key story point in a potential sequel sequel trilogy.
I already loved L3 but I love how SO much more now that I've watched most of Fleabag.Will we ever have another Star Wars movie question whether droids are sentient and should have rights?
It might break the universe just a little bit, lol, with everyone telling Threepio to shut up in the OT aging pretty badly but it could be fun.
Maybe a bit too Star Treky but you could make good material out of it (and then revive the Force-sensitive droids from Legends).
It's my least favorite of the new patch of films but I still left the theater really happy about it. It's perfect and some of the directing was a bit dullish at times but the performances and new characters were all great. I especially loved Alden's Han, who I'm honestly bummed as fuck that we will most likely never see again

I don't think it had anything to say about droid sentience other than L3 being the character she was. I don't love that the whole L3 droid rights angle was played for laughs, but I dig L3 as a character and the whole performance. Not really interested in exploring that concept of droid sentience any further tho, it seems pretty straight forward in the universe that they are.

I liked it. While I felt it was ultimately unnecessary, it ended up being a fun little ride, with good characters, and some decent world building. I'd give it a solid "B".
