I thought Solo was bland visually and narratively. I'd honestly say the most disappointing thing about it was the script, which was very standard, with a poorly executed and contrived 3rd act.

I expected a lot more from Kasdan, felt like he phoned it in which is weird considering this was supposedly his passion project.

I feel the same. To a tee. I'd add that the third act in general is just ridiculously low-octane. The climax in particular, I mean. I can easily appreciate an intentionally smaller-scale conflict but man. That was a bit pitiful.

The best part about Solo was Qi'Ra whom I felt gave some good layers to Han. I want to learn more about what happened to her but that sounds like Disney+ material, if it ever happens.

Loved it, felt like the Indiana Jones type Solo movie I wanted and it was maybe the most I've enjoyed the new movies. Alden and Glover were both excellent and a joy to watch.

And yeah, Qira was really good too. Their theme is like a classic Indy/Marion theme.

Whatever film follows TROS I think Powell should be the front runner to write the score. His work on Solo was excellent and I love his HTTYD scores.

I should probably give Solo's soundtrack a shot. I wasn't going to say anything initially but when multiple peopled chimed in singing its praises I was a bit bewildered. I don't remember thinking as highly of the main theme as the stuff in the other three modern films.

I'll give it a shake on Spotify shortly. It may be that my relative indifference toward the movie itself led to my skewed reception to the score.

I loved Solo, thought it was an absolute blast and I appreciated the expansion of the mythology.

Also, I think the film is gorgeous; some of my favorite shots in the entire franchise are in Solo.

Can't wait to never ever keep score on any supposed leakers. I don't know what those people have reported and I never will, so even if they are right on things it won't matter to me. I'm glad I dumped MSW months ago and never got into reading whatever that Jedipaxis person posts on reddit.

additionally my opinion is that they are all full of shit and JW has repeatedly shown himself on twitter to be a huge asshole.

Todays spoiler culture truly baffles me mate! I don't understand why people want the whole film spoiled for them prior to release? especially the fans
