He made a quick cameo when TLJ was still shooting and dude had some crazy ass socks on. I bet he has hundreds of Wes Anderson ass socks.
None of the Star Wars people have ever liked my stuff. Meanwhile, my boyfriend has had a tweet liked by Mark Hamill, gotten likes from almost all Star Trek: The Next Generation cast, retweeted by Gates McFadden, had a private chat with Rosalind Chao in her DMs. I am so unlucky in comparison lol.
Releasing that with Aquaman, Bumblebee and Mary Poppins Returns in the same month would had been interesting.

Two of my favourite people to listen to talking about film. Really enjoyable interview.
The problem is the movie climaxes with Snoke's throneroom, yet you have another Act to go. Act 4, which is very unusual for a movie.
Yep the pacing just feels off, but you cannot remove anything really.

Seems like Palpatine is being erased from a lot of media. He is not on a single piece of boxart for any of the movie releases now. Even Revenge of the Sith for some reason C-3PO and the Death Star get prominent placement but no Sheev
I'm not sure I made myself clear. There's obviously nothing wrong with a show like that being on the air for Star Wars. What I'm lamenting is that, thus far, there's been no televised content exploring the sequel era with a more mature tone. That isn't a mutually exclusive gig. Resistance can exist alongside something else. I'd be interested in seeing that something else, since we have it for other eras already.
If rumors are to be believed, it almost didn't, and may still not.

Have to admit, it's pretty o.o; that Variety's original tip was that this show wasn't going forward. Very weird turn of events that it ended up being Gilroy stepping in like this instead.
You know, I could genuinely see a possibility that they were running into major developmental problems and Disney was like, "Get Gilroy on the line again, and if he doesn't pick up you're finished." LOL.
You know with JJ being brought on board just a few months before TFA began filming, R1 having massive reshoots and story changes, Solo being reshot, and now TROS having last minute reshoots two months before release, production on TLJ really has been by far the smoothest, with the movie being basically finished in the summer and many months of fine tuning, completely finished in September.
