Rogue Squadron spiritual successor is more likely.
Wasn't Motive's game recently cancelled? Or was that another game?I wonder if it's Motives game.
I wonder if it could be launch game for the new consoles.
Motive's game is still on. This may be something different though.Wasn't Motive's game recently cancelled? Or was that another game?
Gonna post this for the new page:
There have been rumors of Criterion making a standalone game based on the Battlefront 2 space combat.
This could be that.
Today, EA has two new Star Wars games in development – a sequel to Jedi Fallen Order at Respawn and a smaller, more unusual project at EA Motive in Montreal, Canada.

Yeah, that's what I posted.
This is in response of Project Maverick getting found on PSN.
For reference, this is the article they're referencing: https://www.kotaku.co.uk/2020/02/21/sources-ea-cancelled-a-star-wars-battlefront-spinoff-last-year
So this looks like EA Motive's project.
I know exactly what it is.. i've been saying it in a few EA topics in restera but noone said anything.
Project Maverick is a Star wars spaceship SIMULATOR. And from what i hear a heavy one.
As somebody told me, should have been presented a few weeks ago. I don't know what happened.

Well that certainly sounds "unusual". Bring it onI know exactly what it is.. i've been saying it in a few EA topics in restera but noone said anything.

Hold on, a simulator? For real? Something like Independence War? Or the move thumbstick forward to move ship-simulator?
Heavy? How heavy? I can't imagine it being too deep because I can't see it not being a multiplatform game that comes out on consoles as well. I am not expecting to regulate the energy of my shield for example.
It probably won't be that.I want it to be like that Star Trek Bridge Crew, but a Star Destroyer.
You can be one of the guys fiddling around on computers in the pits!
Project Maverick may just be a working title, not the actual title.Weird at no "EA" logo in the name of the game.
All EA SW games even mobile ones has EA in their title/logo.
Noice!

I mean, I want a modern SW space sim a bunch, but I'd love a Telltale-style narrative adventure game even more. It'd be the closest thing we've gotten to a Star Wars RPG since KotOR II.I don't think a "smaller, more unusual project" necessarily sounds like a flying sim. That description honestly sounds more like a telltale kinda title. Hope I'm wrong.

Celebration is in August this yearUhm, that can as well be a valid theory then.
I guess this is coming in 2020? Announcement at SW Celebration next month?
So it'll be announced earlier if it's coming out this year.
like a combat flight simulator but with star wars spaceships.
it's from EA and it come to consoles, so i imagine it's not going to be as crazy as a PC flight simulator. I didn't get any more details but regulating the shield energy is exactly what i was thinking when they said simulator.
in any case, who told me that is not a sim hardcore in any way, so maybe for him/her, just touching a few buttons makes it a hardcore simulator. I guess we will see!
Sorta like Elite Dangerous?I know exactly what it is.. i've been saying it in a few EA topics in restera but noone said anything.

"only" - lol.Star Wars really only lives on through video games, comics and television for me now so I'm down.
My dream of Dirk Nowitsky IN SPACE has died. /sI know exactly what it is.. i've been saying it in a few EA topics in restera but noone said anything.
