AMAZING USE OF COLORS

as expected, the emphasis is on space ship modeling and animation. this series is gonna be hard surface pornography (though Clone Wars still has that beat)

It's a promo that's going to air on the Disney Channel. Think of the sugar addled kid audience they're looking at.

Still, definitely seems to be going for 'investigating FO activity on the frontier' angle I'd been hoping for, given Poe's mentions of trying to figure out where loyalties lie. Probably gonna get a bunch of worldbuilding out of this series.

Ugh, cel shading.
Not a fan of the ship designs either. What's that, a new Headhunter-type ship? And an elongated A-wing? And a weird not-really-TIE-fighter.

I wouldn't mind more derivative ships (i'd love to see a new iteration of the Y-wing or B-wing), or original designs, but these feel like they're trying to be both and failing.
That said, only quick cuts and no good overview shots, so maybe they're better than they look here.

Looks pretty good, particularly the ships animation. The main character seems a tad irritating, but I'm not the target demographic for this show or this trailer. Plus, Ezra and Ahsoka grew over the course of their series, so my opinion of him will likely change over time.

I know what you mean. I recently caught some eps of TCW with my kids (they're going through the series on Netflix), and I wish there was something geared toward an older audience. Hopefully Clone Wars Saved, or whatever they hell they're calling it, spurs LFL to create a regular series like that again.

I must be in the minority here, but I really hate the cel-shaded look and it looks real awful here. Writing seems like a step down from even the first season of Rebels, which is an accomplishment.

I'll watch it, but I don't have any hopes this will be good, even with Poe being a part of the cast.

This looks much stiffer than Rebels even. The art style I think is nicer, but the movements for anything other than vehicles is horrendous, looks like Transformers RID which had the same problem.

The ship stuff will look nice, but any human movement is looking awkward as heck

imo this is a step up from Rebels. No low res textures anymore thank god
