This is my second attempt in creating thread with breakdown about Steam sales of newly released games. I've tried to improve this analysis in several ways, hope you would like it. As usual, before we start, i want to include some important disclaimers:

1. All stats in this thread are taken from SteamSpy - https://steamspy.com/ Those numbers are not 100% accurate, but they still provides a overall picture of how some games preformed on PC market. If you want to know how SteamSpy algorithm works, read this page - https://steamspy.com/about
2. It was mentioned many times before, but those numbers doesn't fully translates in sales, they only indicates how many users bought game directly from Steam store or activated retail key. It's obviously doesn't includes DRM free sales, retail and online store shipments, which are still sales but can't be included in stats for obvious reasons. Again, owners != sales, remember that before jumping to conclusions!
3. Another reminder that those numbers doesn't include sales from other platforms like GOG, Uplay, etc.

Overall

625 new games and software titles (excluding free apps) were released on Steam platform in November 2017. Out of those, 325 apps currently didn't have enough owners to show any data about how they've preformed during the month.

Prices

Despite big number of released apps, only 2 games were released with 60$ pricetag (last detected price in US region, prices in different regions may vary) on Steam in November 2017 - Call of Duty: WWII (Activision) and Aerofly FS 2 Flight Simulator (IPACS). 5 software application were released with 60$+ pricetag. 65 new apps were released with 20$+ pricetag.

Call of Duty: WWII vs. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

Currently Call of Duty: WWII have 654,196 ±24,869 owners, while Infinite Warfare sitting at 487,183 ±21,464 owners numbers after 1 year on market and several -50% discounts on sales.

DOS2 almost at a million. Deserved after everyone rode Dragon age 3's cock despite the superior RPG, DOS1 existing.

Huge bump for Wolfenstein: The New Colossus, mostly thanks to the 50% off.

Glad to see NieR and Divinity in Top 10.
NiOh is having the best PC launch of TK right?

So happy for Nioh. Good support leads to good sales. Take note, KT.

Anyway, what does it mean by November 2017 Top 10 games rankings by owners data?

Nier Automata 9th most owned game on steam and given that there are 2 early access titles it might even be closer to 7 or 8. That's cray cray, especially given the port quality and nonexistent marketing.

The popularity of SPaZ 2 is kinda surprising to me. The first one was good but was it that popular?

Thank you very much for this interesting report m8. I'm sad to see the low sales of some very good games like A Hat in Time and Injustice 2.

A Hat in Time numbers is not that bad, especially for indie game, and Injustice 2 is half-year late port with season pass and crazy regional pricing during release week (it costed more than 60$ in many regions, but it seems WB fixed the prices now), which probably caused low sales

Zwei Zwei only sitting at 3k is a crime.
A crime.

Y'all better put it on your wishlist now or I will look at your avatar in a condescending way. You have been warned!

I didnt even know this game existed. How is the story?
Well the premise is simply enough
In a world where magic and technology exist side by side, vampire princess Alwen must reclaim her ancestral castle and her magic alongside her unlikely ally, treasure hunter Ragna Valentine. They may make for an odd pair, but when they combine their talents, the sky's the limit!
but it manages to feel fresh due to the excellent character dynamics and the way it develops. I haven't completed it yet, but so far it's been a joy. It also juggles goofyness and seriousness effortlessly and in typical Falcom fashion the NPCs are great.

There is almost the same number of people playing MKX as Injustice 2 right now.

Pretty sure Nioh has already supplanted the majority of KT games at this point in it's sales lifetime beyond the first Dynasty Warrior release. Should end up being one of their most successful games in the end.

Nioh is indeed one of KT most popular game on Steam right now, but DYNASTY WARRIORS 8 is still far ahead with close to 300k owners count. It's possible that Nioh will surpass those numbers after major sales, but i doubt this would happen in near future
