"has anyone considered that rapists are people too?"
I can't take it. All the stuff is totally fucked up. A store is in parts defined by the stuff it sells. I have no idea why Steam wants to be associated with that kind of stuff.
The reaction to this is fucking stupid.
Whatever this is, it's clearly trying to get a rise out of people and sell itself through shock value, and so far it's working.
I'm more disappointed that a game this low quality can get this much attention rather than what kind of content is in it. All this attention will just lead to more low quality shock value games trying to sell itself through controversy, like "Baby Kicking Simulator" or "Animal Abuse Simulator".
I don't count visual novels as games, so that alone should disqualify it from Steam.
Nevermind the terribly insensitive subject matter.
I clicked on the EG article and comments had stuff like "yeah what about violence .." which just made me sad.
You... know there's a lot of visual novels on Steam, right? It's pretty much the biggest reason the genre has a western presence at all and has been doing wonders for it.
lmaoI don't count visual novels as games, so that alone should disqualify it from Steam.
lmao
even if you really think this, steam sells non-gaming software and movies and tv shows
Sounds like the kind of rubbish one of those "edgy" tossers puts out in order to "trigger" people, but in actuality has little to no value as a game, whether artistically or as entertainment.
Is the game still up? Can't find it in the client or the website.
Yeah, seems to still be up. Are you searching for it on the store or clicking on a link?
"Hey ReserEra betas"The discussion topics are something as well
Note i havent even clicked them, just wanted to see what was discussed. All I say was the headlines, same in pics.
Reported it, but with Valve's track record I expect fuck all will be done. Very sad that this is what they've become.
I was searching for it. Maybe it is not available here in germany.Yeah, seems to still be up. Are you searching for it on the store or clicking on a link?
So, if this game is somehow aproved and have the right to release, why are we against steam and not against the law who let it exist in the first place?
C'mon, be nicer, the man put two whole years of his life into designing this rubbish!/sSounds like the kind of rubbish one of those "edgy" tossers puts out in order to "trigger" people, but in actuality has little to no value as a game, whether artistically or as entertainment.
No, the best thing you can do is report them. That's the problem. "Games" like this are clearly trying to gain attention and the media (and this forum) are giving them all they could ever want. There comes a time when you need to step back and look at things from a pragmatic standpoint instead of a moral high ground. There are plenty of highly offensive games on Steam. You just don't know they exist because they don't get any exposure. The best thing you can do in situations like this is to just ignore them. No exposure = no sales. No sales = back to the drawing board.
19 days according to SteamDB. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Valve doesn't check titles / store pages until release. This "game" was never gonna make it onto the store.
Hadaka Shitsuji is a (good) porn game though. This one is ridiculous, but it's definitely not the only game with rape depictions. Pretty sure Naked Butlers has a lot of rape.
Steam will probably ban adult games again. Just not worth it, because unlike say porn or literature these contents are not seen as acceptable.
I mean it technically does. Kanojo is on steam.I though at first that this is about Illusion's RapeLay and was like "WHAT? Illusion sells its games on Steam!?" but no, a different game :|
Spanish forums are becoming the cesspool of the internet, would make Bannon proud!People on Spanish forums rushed to defend this ASAP because muh freeze peach and artistic liberty. It's fucking disgusting.
Isn't rape illegal in all countries? This seems like this "game" is still under review and was not actually for sale:
Nothing can be done about this game existing or not existing, people are still free to make whatever art they please. As long as you can purchase "A Serbian Film" on Amazon, you should be able to purchase "Rape Day" on Steam. You wanna games being seen as art, you have to accept that such crap-games coexist with the fluffy unicorn stuff that everyone else like.
