Yes, howerever revenue based makes it harder for cheaper games such as Among Us top make it there. Among Us probably sold already most of its potential.

Its been doing relatively well since it released on Steam I think, I constantly see it on top seller lists.

I believe it was 50% off during the Steam Winter sale which caused it to hit the top 10 during the sale.

Steamspy has it between 2-5 million copies sold. Got to imagine that is above what MS expected.

It was also top 15 best selling games by revenue in 2020 on steam, despite releasing only in july, and a lot of the other games in front of it were the giants like csgo, dota, gta etc so yeah, SoT has been doing extremely well.
