That would be extremely dangerous for the company in the EU. Or at least in Spain.

guy is also a pirate so justice x2 (he has a pirating software on his desktop). Don't go breaking those NDAs ahahahaha.

Edit: For further clarification, the guy has Popcorn time on his desktop. Popcorn Time is a special BitTorrent-client used to playback downloading torrent files and is used almost exclusively for piracy. You cannot download Linux distros or other legitimate content using it, only what the tracker file that is installed shows you.

This guy is also likely in legal trouble for breaking the NDA. That shit is binding.

Just how dumb do you have to be to ignore the multiple warnings saying that everything about the test is strictly confidential. They're even taking note of people on Twitter...

Seriously, even a small bit of common sense is all that is needed.

Maybe don't be an idiot and break something you signed for while everyone is telling you to stop.

I mean his name is plastered all over the screen, what did he expect
I agree, and I'm definitely pro digital.

But giving the platform holders so much power over products we've bought makes me feel very uncomfortable. I don't think they should be allowed.

Yes, he should lose access to the alpha or online play on origin not their entire library.

The fact that they can decide to remove all your purchases instantly is pretty worrying.

Not that this person deserved to go unpunished though. They were a fucking idiot

But do you know if the purchases were removed or if his access was stopped (temporarily? permanently?) so as to stop his breach?

Because right now I see a ton of assumption!

Well for starters not being an idiot will curb a lot of the downsides to it.
I know in this case, it's a bad argument. But I've seen people lose everything because their account got hacked. They lost everything with no recourse. So digital is still scary.

Well then. That re-affirms me not saying anything about the Alpha to anyone out of pure fear lmao

Two wrongs doesn't make a right. Fuck EA. They could have banned his Anthem access or disabled his account, leaving the games but making further additions impossible. There's so many better ways to handle this. Or simply sue him if your NDA holds up in court. Stealing his shit is abysmal.

Denining someone access to games they brought with their own money isnt something that should be done .
I dunno maybe he should have thought of that before he willfully registered, clicked his confirmation, signed the legal agreement and started streaming. He could reread what he agreed to and see what the actions were!
