ESPN announces Collegiate Esports Championship featuring Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition, Overwatch, Starcraft 2, Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm where universities and colleges from around North America will compete:

There are some words from Ono there saying "yes, haters from Era or Eventhubs comments section are right: SFV is awful and dead, even the universities and ESPN agree. We already had Capcom Pro Tour and Capcom Cup, then Street Fighter League Japan and Street Fighter League USA and since the game is so bad and doomed that nobody is interested on it we created another SFV eSport event with these partners that aren't important in the USA". (Note just in case you don't get it: I'm kidding)

I live in Japan. Doubt that I'll have time to make it into an arcade though :(

At EVO Japan, we got to go to the Taito Station doing the test location runs. Pretty much the same. You can of course plug in a USB controller. We used an Xbox one controller and a brook converter, as well as various Hori sticks there.
The training mode was limited in that you can't train forever.
Even if you win matches, after three wins, you got kicked off (probably just for the test location).
Networked against people (I think at the EVO venue), there was lag.

A NRS dev on GDC to speak about how they implemented their Rollback netcode.
Capcom just saw how GGPO worked and just created their own without proper testing. NRS was even focus tracking a bug that caused constant rollback for one player.
So just like Daigo takes a swig of Red Bull before every match, I can imagine Tokido getting a few eye drops in and a quick scrub down with body wash (in addition to this 12-inch tape measure routine).
