AP: Senior member of the International Olympic Committee has stated that the coronavirus could cause full cancellation of the 2020 Summer Olympics COVID
The AP has reported that on February 25th, a senior member of the IOC has stated that it's likely if the coronavirus proves to be too dangerous to hold this summer's Olympics, it's likely it will be fully cancelled than postponing or moving the Olympics. Damn, imagine Capcom putting in all this effort to get SFV ready for the Olympics only for it to be cancelled.
That would be a serious disaster for Japan and the sporting world. I gotta imagine that by May the world will have this under control.AP: Senior member of the International Olympic Committee has stated that the coronavirus could cause full cancellation of the 2020 Summer Olympics COVID

That'd odd, I'm also the reason myco hasn't won evo yet.
Is one round an option?
As far as I understand that's only for the on-site qualifiers in Poland and the main event in Tokyo. The online regional and national qualifiers can be on PS4 or PC.
Let's get this thing done in an hour, everyone has shit to do.
Yeah, me too.. Yesterday, battlelounge Ps4 vs Ps4.. It was a slowdown fest.I've started to experience more slowdown in my matches recently and it consistently fucks up my inputs. Shit is mad annoying, five bar matches too. I think the best match i had recently was a four bar match i didn't mean to accept. Perfect connection and they was In a dojo called nowifi or something. lol

Seems Intel is running everything and they're doing whatever they feel like it.
I went cheap after my stick died...
While the coronavirus might be under control worldwide by then, it has served to highlight to the world how grossly incompetent the Japanese authorities were. The Olympics, during the Japanese summer, will be a disaster. Everyone knows that in Japan, but no one dares to say it out loud. Maybe the pandemic will be a blessing in disguise: it may give them an occasion to cancel the event without having to take responsibility, and somewhat save face. That would be a serious disaster for Japan and the sporting world. Eh, can't be any worse than Sochi or Rio. In fact I'm pretty sure it will be better than those two. While the coronavirus might be under control worldwide by then, it has served to highlight to the world how grossly incompetent the Japanese authorities were. The head of the Olympics is the famously useless and clueless ex-prime minister Mori. When asked about the coronavirus lately, he said that he planned to never wear a protective mask and ganbaru without protection to show his confidence that the event will go well. That generation of politician is basically specialised in looking away from reality and wait until shit hits the fan, and then they'll look for someone to take the blame.
So been going back and just going through trials at random for fun.
Doing Giefs 1st set of trials and on the 9th one:
Standing HK (Counter) => EX BORSCHT DYNAMITE
I can do both inputs easy its just uh.... I don't know how to link them? The playback shows the CPU doing a neutral jump and catching him mid air in the EX move but after I HK Gief seems stuck on the ground for a few frames afterwards.

There are many dumb news around the Olympics, but my favourite was that plan to combat the crushing heat in the stadium during mid-day: plant asagao flowers in the shade around the stadium. It has no effect on the heat, BUT since asagao are traditionally associated with the idea of freshness in classical Japanese poetry, simply looking at them will make anyone (with a solid background in Heian-era poetry) feel fresh! Imagine the amount of money spent on this kind of stupidity.
As for insanity of the coronavirus situation in Japan, this article sums it up quite well. It seems sensationalistic, but honestly, it actually glosses over some things that happened that would seem taken straight from a Monty Python movie.
Have you seen Shin Gozilla? It is, unironically, the most important movie about Japanese politics of the decade. The focus is not on the monster, it's about the amount of time and energy wasted by the government doing as little as possible while hoping the situation will fix itself. It's a movie about Fukushima, and it applies to many other topics, from the coronavirus to the aging population and every other long term issue the country faces.
So pretty much every single goddamn match I've gotten "Error 40002 " and got kicked out of the fight. It only seems to happen on the 2nd match of the set. Is there any way to prevent this? It's been really annoying.
Only once, every time besides that it's mid-action for both me and my opponent and we're both playing normally it seems.
The wifi warriors have returnedAfter having a lot of good matches last week, it seems like online is back to being a mess again.
this is a twilight zone episodeI thought I was having a really unlucky night two days ago when all my matches were turbo shit but then I realised I forgot to plug in my ethernet and the wifi warrior was me
I really hope SF6 has the WiFi quarantine available as an option.I thought I was having a really unlucky night two days ago when all my matches were turbo shit but then I realised I forgot to plug in my ethernet and the wifi warrior was me

Online is really starting to eat inputs way more than usual. At first I thought it was just me, but I'm seeing this happen to many others as well. This never really happened to me prior to the update.
Do you mean that sometimes you press a button and nothing happens when fighting online?
Yeah, I think that is what he means. It's one of the reasons why you shouldn't played fighting games over wifi, there is more chance for lost packets and your inputs getting lost.
Tons of situations where I'm doing shit and my character does nothing.. Thought it was my damn stick!
Chun
I feel like you should keep playing every character until you find one you click with on some level. Some characters require a bit more complexity to deal good damage (like Menat) and some don't (like Mika). I would say if you really want to work on fundamentals start with Ryu and work your way out. But when I started I went straight for Zangief so really its whatever speaks to you. What are some good characters for beginners, aside from Ryu/Ken?
I've gone through almost all of the character stories and I think liked the following the most (roughly in order):
Sakura, Ibuki, Chun Li, Rashid, Karin, Poison, Mika, Juri, Menat, Zeku
Any of these characters I shouldn't touch in the beginning? Anyone you'd recommend?
For example, I can already sense, that Menat is really gimicky and not as good for beginners.
