I don't know if porn game talk is allowed here. I personally am not that interested, ok, maybe slightly, however what I'm interested in is how it may impact the industry. Is the porn games industry an untapped potential? Are we ever going to see AA or AAA porn games hit the market? Is the puritanical western games industry going to allow this?

Again, if this is not allowed here, my mistake.

It's gonna make ridiculous amount of money regardless of how well designed the RPG portion is because it's gonna be better animated than 99% of the competition.

Yeah I was following the Kickstarter and really wanted to share it myself 'cause it's significant I think, but it's hidden by Steam for pornography so it shouldn't be allowed here I fear

Isn't the whole premise of Kickstarter that they've already made ridiculous amounts of money without having to complete the project?

The guys who made Bastard Bonds should step up and make another Male/Male focused eroge with good gameplay, since it appears this one is primarily focused on straight dudes and maaaaybe lesbians. Still, I think there's space in the industry for well produced porn games.

Kinda curious how this will turn out. Surprised they got so much money and didn't burn their bridges with their supporters.

Long silence before their most recent movie release followed by more silence just to suddenly announce they are working and focusing on a game while already announced movies people supported them for are in production limbo now or they refuse to say they cancelled them. Probably a lot of different people supporting this game as well but I doubt this game will even be able to include a lot of the sexual content people know Fow for

Just taking a glance at their kickstarter page, maybe I'm wrong but are all of their "hot alien babes" the exact same base 3d model just with some alterations? Not trying to hate on it but those character models are looking super samey underneath all the horns and accessories. *edit* Woah at that content description above....

Last time I check Huniepop is still censored on steam, and you need to go to outside sources to get the uncesored patch. They are also still strict on what visual novels are still alowed, as even an all ages yuri visual novel got turned down.

Well, that's...interesting. Not for me, but clearly there's a market. It's really no different than the multitidue of visual novels with animated portraits.

As long as the characters are adults and they fulfill their Kickstarter commitments, doesn't seem like there's a big issue. Seems like there is some decent gameplay with the ships and stuff.

Porn games aren't really my thing but I kinda love that this exists? the idea of a porn game that is actually also a good game is a surprisingly novel one.

Honestly if NSFW game development didn't seem so messy I'd care more. There's an audience, but on Patreon these projects fizzle out no matter how much money they get.

Honestly FOW doing a kickstarter might be the only way to get something like this existing.
