Yeah. I just thought because of that they would have said PS4/5 etc etc for the consoles.

The backgrounds look a bit uneven, but I'm so glad they didn't touch the original sprites, especially for Suikoden 2.
I fucking knew Konami would only do this over the success of the Eiyuden Chronicles kickstarter. Just like we didn't get new Mega Man or Castlevania games until MN09 and Bloodstained has success. Japanese execs are fucking dumb.
Seems like a good desition to release on every platform then, hope it does well.

I wonder if the games are being remade in Unity. All that stuttering when the maps scroll reminds me of the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters.
I really hope there is no achievement for that storyline.
The one-two punch of Miki Higashino's two magnificent main themes featured in the trailer. Just wonderful~.
Reminder that if you play on Steam and dont have a CRT, get Reshade + CRT Royale to make those pixels look right since the scanlines options offered in the game will probably be trash.

Suikoden 1 was so amazing back in 96. It was like the best of the SNES RPG era with the addition of CD quality music.

But you cannot hire him without completing his storyline right? I remember I did his storyline + all stars to get the perfect ending.

I hope this has boosters tbh. I've always been interested in 1 and 2 but I just don't have the time to grind in JRPGs anymore, I just want to play through the story without worrying about levels etc

Yes you do. I've always recruited him and got 108 Stars, and never once have I done his storyline to the end.
Don't worry, they'll close the account after the HD Remaster release, no more new games & news after that. 🙃
