So after finishing up DS3's LP (well still got some DLC), going into the DS1 LP...and, like Woolie, I'm going into it after DS3 backwards.

I love the dynamic with Pat teaching Woolie the ropes (and me by extension), like the RE2 LP. I'm guessing it doesn't go too smoothly given how many episodes this LP has, which is weird because as a fighting game and character action game player it seems like Woolie would adjust to a game based around pattern memorization and frame reading well enough, though maybe coming from genres where you're incentivized to style on foes a more methological and slow paced combat system can mess up your rythm.

Did Matt and Liam ever finish Life is Strange 2 and I somehow missed it? Or missed them saying they wouldn't finish it?

Catching up with the last podcast, and THANK YOU Woolie for calling out Pat for slamming on the gas the MILLISECOND they finished the countdown to spoiler-talk. Dude come'on, glad I'm just absorbing Death Stranding via proxy and don't mind spoilers. Still a bit miffed' about that happening with Knives Out.

Link?

I never seem to be on the same media wavelength as them but for once I watched the big "in" thing.

Thank you so much Pat. Everyone in Rent is a PIECE OF SHIT. It bothered me so much that the one we're supposed to feel terrible for killed a dog for money because THAT'S not selling out.

"Castle Super Beast Clips: Tentacle Succubus, Just Like The Olive Garden"

Each day, we get closer to the future of AI generated CSB clips.
The one time I met Matt I brought up that I got side-eyed a bit for listening to a podcast that had episodes titled 'Aryan Resurrection' and 'Dickbutt was a Spider-Man Villain'

FINALLY, Woolie got to the Spec Ops scene I've been waiting for.

Cool to see Woolie do exactly what I did for Lugo's death (Try to walk out + Fire in the Air).

I remember worrying about my neighbors hearing the infamous "pornography" scene from both the Yakuza 0 and Noire LPs.

Having a laugh at Interspecies Reviewers being banned from the Pat and Paige household for saying skeletons were bottom tier for sex.

this spec ops playthrough is pretty good. Just the right amount of woolie philosophising and then immediately eating shit, adapting, overcoming, reaching a cutscene about morality, philosophising, and immediately eating shit again

I am slightly disappointed on Woolie's take-away from Asimov's short story, he's more in love with his own ideas lining up with a past more thought-out take on this matter. He loves the names, he loves that someone came up with a similiar idea to his, but the moral of the story that people are shit-heads is lost on him. Woolie still thinks a version he came up with a tweak to the premise can still work out. His argument about "truth" wasn't well defined in the first place and perhaps if he worded the argument better, with more clear definitions, his ideas could come through better but it's a trash fire right now that assumes good intentions alone will save everyone.
Let's not forget he's on camp denial who can't accept lame dinos when there are cooler ancient beasts out there, like gigantic geese, but muh child-hood.

Tl;dr Woolie is being bad at words and ideas again without prep-work, and someone smarter needs to sit infront of him to tell him he's being stupid. Pat flippantness will only result in Woolie thinking he's being smarter than he is.

Eating shit metaphorically or just gameplay wise? I guess Minh is the one getting blown up over something, i don't know what yet but is it up there with Woolie getting angry at him in the third birthday?

Also, I think this quote, which should be quite fresh in Woolie's memory, is pretty fitting.

It takes a strong man to deny what's right in front of him.
But when the truth is undeniable, you create your own.

I love philosophical discussions as much as the next guy who got moral classes instead of religion classes, but Woolie's idealistic ideas about Trumps' Space Force and now this lackluster description of truth show a lack of understanding of humans and how they govern themself. The struggle will never be as easy as he thinks.
I'd have thought Legend of Galactic Heroes has these moral lessons to tell, but Woolie seems to like complete and good plots and magical sci-fi ideas more than the lessons to be learned with the help of those devices. The thought-experiments he's having don't have a better future as a goal but just self-congratulating "i am having the BEST IDEAS right now" feelings, that fall flat when confronting reality.

Woolie, Reggie, and Minh talking unbelievable mad shit to each other playing Garfield Kart Racer is a top 3 moment for them.

It was only for a second but the original title of this video was "Harriot Tubman says Wakanda Forever," so I don't know what's real anymore tbh

I google'd the date in the title and the second result explained why Woolie ended the podcast after Plague dropped the title in chat.

It had nothing to do with WWI or the Russian Revolution, which is what I thought when I read it.
