This may be my problem with it, I tend to dwell so when I see someone act fine after a difficult situation my brain goes "wtf is wrong with you?".
yeah I imagine the last weeks and even months of SBFP were stressful, so not having that stress probably helps

Yeah it's really kinda shocking in comparison to Matt and Woolie. Hell, even in the vid Pat seemed much more fine with it than them, but this is also venturing dangerously into amateur psychoanalysis so I'll just stop there i guess.
I figure if you can't stand coming doing a job every day not having to would be pretty refreshing.
The brawls were by far my favorite thing the Zaibatsu ever did, so I'm ultra salty they never returned.

Not specifically but Maximilian and the yovideogame crew regularly play Smash and other party games.
They're the closest in terms of style to the SBFs
Not exactly what I'm looking for. They seem to be a bit too friendly, and they don't seem to play a big variety of multiplayer games (mostly just Smash).
I'm looking for shit-talking, competitiveness, and salt across a variety of multiplayer games like the Brawls had.
Nah man, they're not that friendly when the salt comes out lol. Watch some highlights and you'll see.

It's weird how Pat seems to being hit with most of the blame game for the fallout. Maybe the working relationship failed because he got sick of Matt sandbagging damn near 80% of the LPs?

Personally I don't care who or what killed the channel. Knowing the answer won't bring it back. So I'd rather just get over it and move on.
I'm not going to lie, I found the Zaibatsu through Fighterpedia & I absolutely got Woolie & Matt mixed up.
Chaos2Frozen oh god that video is great. Hearing people genuinely laugh has got to be the best thing to put people in a better mood. Also it helps that the video begins with one of my favorite games, a moment I forgot about too haha.

While its sad I'm only really beginning to appreciate Super Best Friends after hearing the news of it cancelled I'm glad I have such a large backlog to delve into.

Woolies channel has become a thing of legend. Watch his JoJo LP and it's like the old channel never left.
As far as bad ends go, this isn't the worst timeline. We still get long podcasts with the best parts of the old friendcast, and Woolie is still providing LP content in the 3 and 9 pm slots. I even enjoy that his new vids are 20 minutes.
