Well SMW was never exactly an aesthetic variety powerhouse, I think it's kinda clever how it keeps to the Dinosaur Land theme. They're using that for desert?
ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Yoshi's Island theme plsPeople shouldn't be too confident that SMB2 is a lock for the extra style. It could be Galaxy, Paper Mario, Land, hell even a 64 skin maybe.
You need NSO for anything related to multiplayer and course sharing. Can't watch it again, so ... Will NSO be required to upload and downloaded user levels? Or only for multiplayer?
That's more levels than a full price 2D Mario game isn't it?
I'm wondering if there will be a way to access levels made in MM1 or indeed the many bonus levels Nintendo themselves designed for it. It would be a shame if they were all marooned on the wii and 3DS
I'm confused on why anyone would bother with any styles outside of the 3D World one with all the unique features it has.
Yes, there's local play, but the host console needs to be subscribed to NSO and have an active internet connection. That was for coop creator which isn't in question, coop/vs multiplayer locally is in question.
oh no not this again.... damn it let me play with the pro controller nintendo
Seriously, I just finished watching the Super Mario Maker 2 direct expecting a tease or a new game announcement and they left me hanging. Just wasted 30 minutes because I didn't realize the direct hadn't started yet and I kept watching till it did.

If you want vertical throwing you need SMW, if you want to limit wall jump you have to go pre NSMB and so on.Capes, Tanooki Leaves, Yoshi, Propeller Suits, Goomba's Shoes, etc are still exclusive to certain styles.
What did you expect from a game specific direct?
Thanks. Time to subscribe, then. They said "levels are meant to be shared, if you have nintendo switch online" so yeah only thing you can do without a subscription is story mode and any levels you make yourself. Probably why they're doing a special with a year of online for $10.
I've just bought SMM2 at amazon for £40 so I'd hold fire on that £36 'saving' https://www.amazon.co.uk/Super-Mario-Limited-Nintendo-Switch/dp/B07NSSHPFN/Holy shit the 2 vouchers are £84 in the U.K. Eshop.
New games cost £60 each... so I'm gonna save £36??
Yes. That's why I said I was tempted to buy the combo set since I don't currently have a NSO sub(though it probably would have happened anyway with a future game like AC or Pokemon).
It'll only renew an individual membership.I currently have a family online account. Will the bundle renew the family membership or only a individual membership?
SMB Mystery Mushrooms (presumably since they don't appear in the direct), goomba shoeI'm confused on why anyone would bother with any styles outside of the 3D World one with all the unique features it has.
Come on you weren't disappointed that the pokemon gen VIII reveal didn't have any news about Mario Maker2?
But really, why do the goombas float in the ground (night) theme? What a weird, minor thing compared to all the other variants
yeah i feel duped for paying 60 bucks for that. oh well.Holy crap. Is amazing how Nintendo is making one of their own releases, NSMBU, look EVEN MORE like sh*t. I'm genuinely sad for the people who got that at full price.
100Can anyone confirm if there are premade levels and how many? As in levels made by the developers?
There is a Story Mode with over 100 pre-built stages. Can anyone confirm if there are premade levels and how many? As in levels made by the developers?
