So this pretty much confirms DLC Fighter 7 is going to be revealed in the Summer at the E3 Direct?
That's the only way I can see it being him.
Because the alternative is just too weird to me. It's like saying the next fighter is from Devil May Cry and hiding the fact it's Dante. Every always expects the main character, so why hide it?
Also, why not just say who it was? "It's someone from ARMS, now shut the fuck up and wait for 3 more months".

I never imagined we could have a more underwhelming character reveal than Byleth, but here we are.
But giving away the series already gives away so much. It's not like teasing a company, where you have lots of possible characters.
Here, regardless of who they pick, we basically know how they'll play.

Errr.....they expect ARMS to be the frontrunner for this pass? That said, they will be coming with whoever is character 7, so its fair to say that will be the anchor character for it?

The interesting part here is that all the important Arms characters already have spirits in the game, so this pretty much means anybody is still on the table even if they have a spirit. Question is whether this applies to assist trophies.

At least we didn't hear three months before their release that "the next character will be from the Fire Emblem series and will be revealed and released in three months!"
It's not even the fact that it's an Arms character (I think it would be cool), but the manner in which they revealed it.
I hope we got the Byleth pick out of the way now and the rest of the picks are more interesting.
