Same guy came back a few times, tweeted in English more specifics about the character. Specifically that it's a female character that "looks like they're from a fighting game". According to him, it's his friend who actually saw the character, not him, and he's just relaying the info from them.
Actually, thinking about it, would it be worthwhile maybe to tweet female gaming characters to this guy to see if he can get his friend to see if he recognizes them as the character he saw? We might be able to figure out who it is based on that.
Really happy with the Season pass so far, it's everything I could have asked for in terms of reps from respective companies.

I dunno. I don't think I wanted to bother him any further since he probably got some questions from another people.
It would be worth tweeting some of the more popular choices like Jill Valentine at him to see if they're who he's talking about.
So if it is legitimately a female fighting game character, then they're definitely getting revealed at EVO, right? There's no better place to unveil a character fitting that description.
It sounds more like a character who looks like they could be from a fighting game, so them actually being a fighting game character isn't a given.
With that said, given that Banjo isn't out until Fall 2019, I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't hear about the character until the September Direct. Even if the character was revealed in August, we'd probably just hear about a Smash Direct at EVO & have the reveal itself in said Direct.
Alright, sent the female fighting game guy a tweet with some Jill pics, hopefully he can check in with his friend and confirm or deny her.

Dang. I'd like pretty much any female character but Jill, to be honest, at this point, if only because her inclusion pretty much kills my Phoenix Wright dream on the spot, and I'd really like to at least pretend he has a chance for a few more months.

It's weird. According to someone, his old tweet implying that it was his friend at Namco-Bandai (iirc) but now it's at Nintendo. So I'm little iffy with what he said. Also the development is occurring at Namco-Bandai as well.

I've been hearing this (obviously super compelling) theory, but I imagine absolutely no one agrees on who would be either color and therefore the "theory" isn't even useful for meaningfully narrowing the options down. I'm sold!
I think those are just considered the two colors to go best with the ones we have from an art design standpoint.

Actually, thinking about female fighting game characters, what if it's Nina Williams?
She generally gets to be co-protagonist or heavily involved in most Tekken games, and she's one of the few to have gotten her own solo outing with Death By Degrees. She'd also solve the awkward maybe-problem regarding Heihachi's VA and his passing (though, as we saw with Banjo, they have no qualms with reusing existing voice lines).

Side note: I'm a little bit confused about Heihachi being the boring Tekken pick as compared to the rest of the Tekken cast.
