Edward Falcon had a stage cameo in Capcom vs. SNK 2, which was released on GameCube. I checked SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters DS, but he wasn't a card in there;
with that said, if any Dreamcast game should be re-released on Switch, it should be Power Stone.

You could do better with a lot of echoes, but the choice is almost always either echo or not in the game at all, so making a better moveset isn't really an option

I remember "they have a good personality" as a justification for Dark Pit back in the Smash 4 days.
The joke around Dark Pit only works when there are other characters make fun of him for being a super edgy try hard. Without other characters to play off of he's just... a super edgy try hard.

I remember running a blog back then and writing up my Smash wants. Good times.
More than anything I was just disappointed that Dark Pit wasn't to Pit as Falco was to Fox in Melee, reusing the latter's animations but changing around the attack properties, effectively creating an entirely different character/playstyle. Instead he was just Pit with like three moveset differences.
But I guess it paved the way for echo fighters, so hey.
