I don't know how the fuck you can see this and not think modern Kefka is a good villain.
Came up with an idea of making Digimon characters work in Smash's gameplay style.
So their default mode and what you start the match with is their Rookie/Child form (Agumon, Gabumon and/or Palmon) and they have decent stats.
But as you gain damage and get hits on the opponents/s, you charge up a bar that when maxed, let's you transform your Digimon for 20 seconds to their Champion/Adult form that increase their size, speed and attack power as well as upgrade their moves. Your Final Smash is warp evolving them into your Mega/Ultimate form for a single powerful attack.
Agumon – Greymon (Final Smash: Wargreymon)
B: Baby Flame – Mega Flame
B →: Cross Fight – Grey Tooth
B ↑: Uppercut – Great Horn Attack
B ↓: Wild Whip – Tail Whip
Final Smash: Gaia Force
Gabumon – Garurumon (Final Smash: Metal Garurumon)
B: Petit Fire – Foxfire
B →: Body Blow
B ↑: Skull Cracker – Slamming Attack
B ↓: Crush Nail – Garuru Thrust
Final Smash: Giga Destruction
Palmon – Togemon (Final Smash: Rosemon)
B: Poison Ivy – Mach Punch
B →: Plant Shock – Coconut Punch
B ↑: Thorn Throw
B ↓: Stinky Stench

I've literally have not seen such a positive response to a character in a long time. Seems they really did both of them justice. From animations, moveset, stage, references, alts.
The complaints I've heard have been just minor little things that are nothing really.
Hopefully Terry fans will get something similar in care.

Having played most of Golden Deer at this point, Claude feels pretty weak to me. I'd much rather have Byleth.
Like I said before, he's probably the DLC newcomer that's received the most unanimously positive reception since his announcement.
Even guys like Joker and Cloud who got people over the moon had their fair share of detractors ("Why they are putting these Playstation characters in my Nintendo fighting game?"). Then there's the reactions to guys like Hero and Terry, which were...yeah.
Actually, I don't think anyone was upset about Ryu getting into Smash 4. Although him being completely leaked alongside Roy prior dampened the hype there, lol.

Yeah but she wasn't a simpering pansy. She tried, she found her way, it took the literal end of the earth for her to give up and raise her orphans and she still resolves to fight against Kefka eventually.
I really wish Ryu wasn't datamined. It would've been way cooler to see him get revealed without knowing he was in.

Dissidia doesn't have time for full character arcs. And also, do you honestly think Sakurai would base her on her Dissidia appearance?
I guess that explains why Dissidia has Nomura Emo Cloud while Smash Cloud is truer to FFVII.

Honestly, I wish we could get Crono.
Chrono is not a huge series, but Chrono Trigger is one of, if not the most revered RPG of them all. I'd argue that it's more than earned it's place in a game that primarily celebrates the Japanese gaming industry.
Sakurai has worked with Yasunori Mitsuda before, imagine having him do a bunch of CT remixes for Smash.

Chrono Trigger's music isn't a total liscensing nightmare like with Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest, is it...?

Dragon Quest, Mega Man and Street Fighter all go down one rank.
Street Fighter has the crudest fan base with over 20% of their art being dodgy.
Kirby has the purest fanbase.
