You should add around 1.5m for the Wii U version.
The game is already above 10m and will probably aim at 12-13m.
They blew past target previous FY hence multiple revisions to the forecast.
It's essentially 1 holiday since it launched during the first holiday.
PS4 was 19.9 million shipped at this time. You are using sell trough numbers.

you cant compare (release month or not) sales in November and December with March and April.
tracking less than PS4 already... still great turnaround for Nintendo after WiiU. and soon enough will overtake Xbox for 2nd place.
with pokemon and smash, it can sell up to 30 million by jan 1 2019 I think. Would put it on lock with a price drop.
Well it's bit more complicated than that. PS4 launched late november in US and early december in EU (and in japan next february). It didn't have full benefit of that holiday season. Only a month. Not to mention of course limited launch shipments and late Japanese launch. I guess you could say it had one and half holidays lol.

No it is as simple as it had two holiday periods launch aligned. You can't just decide one doesn't count or only partially counts because reasons.
That isn't how business operate.
like online, lack of save backup, browser, among other basic function...calm down, no need to be so defensive. no system is perfect.

Holiday is completely irrelevant in the launch phase when supply is limited anyway.
You can. It would have sold the same launching in November vs launching in March. Plus, it launched with only a few days left in November in Europe, launched in mid December in Asia and launched in Feb in Japan.

Just think those aren't the the sort of things which would impact sales of a Nintendo portable device.
That would be poor software, lack of software etc.
This isn't how business works and we are in a business financial thread.
It had two holiday periods. Businesses will take that into account when releasing a product in the holiday period.
