So bad.The Switch hype cycle is like a fever dream now, but I do remember this gem.
Almost all of that was BS, though. The Switch hype cycle is like a fever dream now, but I do remember this gem.
Yeah. The games list I saw was referencing Overwatch. Didn't specify at the time whether the game was going to be on the floor or a behind closed-doors showing.
By no means! Just wanted the context to be made known. I'm no insider, and happened to have a co-worker who knew someone working a position that might have access to Nintendo's e3 list.
And Kirby.
We're still getting Bloodstained regardless. Me, I'm happy to see Konami take a different approach to the series, as long as it turns out better than Lords of Shadow 2 apparently did (and I'm one of those weirdos who liked Mirror of Fate - come at me!).

Love it! Will rumours be updated in OP or just through the thread?
I have to admit I laughed to see that I'm labeled as my Twitter account in the OP.

Nah, it is fine. I'm DirectFeedGames.

Cue the X-Files theme song!
Blast from the past.
These crazy rumors is part of what made the Switch presentation a big disappointment. There were so many rumors of the Switch having the best ever collection of Launch games, that the actual initial line-up was just Zelda and filler.
Still. Port X one day, would love to dive back into that one.
Who are you quoting? I just see an empty box.
Who? ;)
I'll never forget the Mother 3 release reports from Eurogamer and Emily.

Preorders can still count as purchases, I'm assuming. I'd imagine both Bayo 3 and Pokémon will be shown within the next 12 months, which means they should be available for preorder by then too. I wouldn't read too much into that when it comes to potential release timing.Nintendo Europe has sent out this survey about which Switch games will you be buying within twelve months.
Bayonetta 3 and Pokémon RPG for Nintendo Switch (untitled) both appear as options.

I definitely think Virtual Console, at least how we're used to seeing it, is dead. It just seems inevitable that they'll tie its successor into their online service and they don't seem to be in a hurry to show any part of that.My guess: Mother 3 would have happened with the release of Virtual Console, but Virtual Console is never coming out after the SNES and NES Classic so RIP Mother 3.
That wouldn't make sense because the classic consoles only have 30 or so games, the snes had more than 30 gamesMy guess: Mother 3 would have happened with the release of Virtual Console, but Virtual Console is never coming out after the SNES and NES Classic so RIP Mother 3.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider?
I'd expect that stuff to appear in a proper direct though a short video highlighting the features like the switch reveal trailer could also work with maybe more info in said proper direct.Announcement of the online service and VC go hand-in-hand I think. No way that waits until E3. It can't.
Why not? It would make sense to roll it out with a big multiplayer title and they don't have one scheduled before E3.Announcement of the online service and VC go hand-in-hand I think. No way that waits until E3. It can't.

No one's forcing Nintendo to do anything they don't want to do, especially now when they're killing it. They've got plenty of time.
Counterpoint: the longer they take to prep the service, the better shape it'll be in when it actually launches. To delay their online stuff even further (because you know if they talk about it at E3 it wouldn't roll out until after that) would be a mess. For a service that was supposed to launch last year, then combined with the app mess, no one really has faith in their online service. And the longer they go saying nothing, the less confident people get.
So much wrongThe Switch hype cycle is like a fever dream now, but I do remember this gem.
So bad.
Everything wrong except Just Dance being a launch game, and Sonic.

Also, no one's buying a Nintendo console because of their online service.
The point is, going as far as midway through the second year of the console's life cycle to figure out your online service is a joke in this day and age.
