Keep up the good work, man. I think a thread like this can be really helpful in keeping people's expectations in check regarding rumors.
Re: usernames, I think sources are very relevant to a rumor (an Emily Rogers or Eurogamer rumor holds a lot more weight than Anonymous on 4chan), because it helps you know when to listen and when to walk away. The problem is when people decide they don't want to walk away, they want to throw tomatoes. I haven't seen that in this thread yet, so I've got high hopes for it. Still, if some people trying to throw tomatoes do pop up, I think they should be dealt with individually, instead of flushing your work down the toilet.
