Gamekult confirms that this is the best start for a console in France ever( first 44 weeks ).

We're talking about France numbers here. So not relevant your point.
Switch numbers are ahead of the PS4 at the same stage by quite a margin : 911k vs 650k.
Yes we are and as long as there is no evidence to the contrary we can assume that PS4 numbers in France are up too. Which means we are looking at 4 million + sold PS4s in France.
I'm trying to compare things on a same level here.
For the first 10 months, the Switch had a better start than any console, including the PS4. So the 4 million number you are refering to ( which is not confirmed by the way ) is irrelevant to the point I was making.
No point transforming this thread is a console war, it's not.

That's unfortunately not 100% clear.... even though he said "niveau de ventes", which literally means "level of sales".... The reporter should have sought some more clarification there....

Well done Nintendo. Launch with tons of great games on desirable hardware. This is their best platform since SNES imo.
Its a great start for Nintendo, but wii and ps4, were sold out at launch during the holiday, so it's not exactly a fair comparison, when one get's a full holiday, and the other's just really get a launch during the holidays.
