Nicely done Moldiver . I'll need to go through all their top 10s. In that list in particular I see a few that I missed. Disagree with the new Mitch murder ep. Just didn't grab me.

Just saw BumbleBee. Great 80s fun.

The Video Game Champion by Gunship is a great track.

New single from Fury Weekend, 'Gamechanger' is a hell of a rocker. New single from NINA is great too.

I saw both tracks from Gunship and Nina earlier today and thought it was Fever Dreams that was released on Spotify. I see now that they are released as 'singles'. Both are great. Love the cover on Gunship's.

"Calm Before the Storm" might be the best Nina song, i'm obsessed with it.

Favourite album art of 2018. Go.

M.E.O. & Memorex' "Pornwaves" is wunderbar:

I really missed the boat on this vinyl :/

Damn, that is really nice Channel5News . I suppose I should out the album.

I'm still trying to decide what is mine. Ace Buchannon's Magenta Nights is probably the one I remember the most, but I don't think it's my favourite.

A brilliant release from november I missed. Definitely up there among the best of the year for me.

Listened to it on Spotify though.

Anyway, merry christmas and a happy new music release year all.

One of my Tastebreakers on Spotify was a group named Gunship. Maybe they're already known here, but if not, I'll post a song or two. Really digging them.

Video is NSFW---gore and such. I'm not a fan at all of the video animation and such....but at 4:07 it turns into one of the greatest music videos ever. No, not because of the lady. It's that sexy saxophone in blood.

Time for some help.. can anyone decipher what song is playing here at the world juniors after the Russia/Denmark game?
Not sure if the imbed will have the time stamp, right at the end ceremony where they're announcing players of the game. Right around 1:53:58 is where it'll be starting clearly.

EDIT: Edit: Disregard! Figured it out with google assistant. Matisse & Sadko - GO!, apparently it was used as the 2016 world championship theme.

Just catching up on the new Scandroid material.

Really digging Phoenix

Edit: Only tangentially related. I found myself looking for new synthwave songs last night and started falling down a hole into the realm of Vaporwave and Future Funk.

ロードスRhodes is pretty damn good.

awesome thread

i've recently been getting into Synthwave. So far, this is my favorite track. That melody in the last 30 seconds, sweet baby jesus...

Any recommendations on other Synthwave tracks with great melodies like that?

The 7th video in the Carpenter Brut playlist was deleted. Anyone remember what video it was?

It should go without saying, but if you have the opportunity to see CB live, don't miss the chance.

Seems like an interesting week. Friday will see at least a new release from Star Cassette (which had a quite alright debut single last year) and the new Starcadian EP 'Deep cuts'.

Also, no one mentioned the new Gunship track released last friday, Cthulhu, as a preview track on the upcoming Fangoria release Hollydoom. Preview (SoundCloud) is in this link: https://www.dreadcentral.com/news/2...unship-raise-cthulhu-for-fangorias-hollydoom/

Edit: Also, this was released today

Pretty good.

I really wish Power Glove would put out a full album. They're easily my favorite in this space of music. Even when their stuff isn't well received, I like it quite a bit.

Really like this sound, reminiscent of some of the Pet Shop Boys stuff.

Well, that is spacesynth. Not anything to do with synthwave really, but I have been meaning to ask if it is okey to talk a little about it here since it is such a small genre and there isn't a thread. They share that they are 80's sounding synth music, though spacesynth isn't anything new.

Been listening to it since Laserdance in the 80's (they are still releasing new records, the last one last year). There are some insanely good modern (this century) space synth like these...

Love the alternate version of New Cydonia that was just released from Starcadian. Manuals is a great new track too from the same EP.

Yeah, the New New Cydonia is great. I like it better than the original version, which still is an awesome song. It had one of my favorite videos from last year. If people missed it...

Manuals is also great. The alternate version of Famvs is good, but I prefer the original. It's an okey EP, that if this was about games should be called an DLC to Midnight Signals. Easing the wait for MS part II a little.

Another good release from today...

Don't know exactly when this was released on Spotify, I guess yesterday...

I like MegaDrive's and Gunship's tracks the most, but overall a solid release.

Edit: seems the Spotify embedded player doesn't write out the artists which sucks on VA releases like these. Track list is this:

It's really nice. Personal favorites are Gunship's, John Carpenter's and Umberto's tracks.

My mind has just been blown, turns out my sons band are opening for Dance with the Dead when they play Cardiff in Feb.

Their not even synthwave but a crossover metal/dnb/synth type sound.

Here's their new video if anyone is interested. He's the drummer btw.

Guess that's a gig I won't be missing

Yeah that's pretty cool Cassidy. I thought the same first reading as well, that your son was part of Lebrock until you mentioned the genre mix. lol

Slick video for sure, music doesn't quite fit into my tastes, but sounds like a heck of a show.

Spinning Andy Fox's "Tempus Fugit" right now, it's a rad Italian new wave jam. Very tight album:

I was playing some synthwave in my car with my brother and he described the sound perfectly. He asked why I was listening to F-Zero music.
