Original theme of a 1985 Brian Yuzna flick, often covered in metal (Perturbator started as black metal guitarist).

The remix of a famous 1998 soundtrack.

The year starts with a bang Shane :) Album of the year on its first day? Joke aside, it's great.

And a happy new year all, the last year had some great releases and other than new albums from well established artists like FM-84, Nina, The Midnight (hopefully) there probably will be lots of great stuff this year for us.

Hell yes. Listening now. Had been checking every day for a late December release. Glad to finally listen.

Happy new year to you as well and to everyone here. Appreciate all the music and sharing that keeps this thread going.

I've been throwing on a lot of Wolfclub lately and loving almost every track. I'm a sucker for a sweet melody & endearing vocals.

They're simultaneously super sentimental sounding while also being great for a good gym visit soundtrack.

"Go" is such a good song, I keep going back to it.

This is pretty slick, and quite good.

Releases next friday, but half the album is available now.

Loving the recent Moonrunner83 & Megan McDuffee collab. Wish it would get a vinyl release...

When you said new I thought you meant the new Moonrunner83 track 'All I Need'. Streets came out a while ago, great EP!

Will give it another listen. I think I checked it out briefly and didn't quite click.

Releases next friday, but half the album is available now.

I'm loving this. One of the best I've enjoyed in a long while.

These old posts make me wonder who else is going through a backlog of stuff to check out before replying.

I'm excited for the new Vulta album, out on the 20th. The released track 'For Humanity' is great. Heavy stuff.

Not bad, definitely want to check out the whole album when released. A bit too messy though, so a bit cautious.

I really dig the new Essenger track released yesterday, together with Pylot.

All of his last three singles leading up to his upcoming album has been fantastic.

Otherwise I'm still catching up with 2019, still finding 'new' stuff that is really good. Like Born in '82 - Night never ends. (Spotify copy link doesn't work for me, it wants to paste the old YT link instead). That track isn't perfect but parts of it is like best of '19 music.

This track is great. Realize I hadn't heard another Essenger track since what looks like Afterburner. So will check out some more.

When listening to them, you should listen to After Dark when looking at the official video! :)

Pretty good synth solo in the end that is elevated by watching the video.

Don't know if they were already mentioned here, but I feel they are very underappreciated

This is their best album IMO, but all of them are great:

there was a discussion in the socialist thread about the subgenre " sovietwave" and some stuff came up there which is actually not retrowave but original stuff by Edward Artemyev from the 80s which I think might interest folks in this thread:

Also the stuff by Zodiac and their Disco Alliance LP:

Yeah the synthesizer/newage origins of any country really, is interesting stuff and full of familiar tunes :D

Makeup and Vanity Set has continued to pump out some excellent albums lately. The latest, Monster: The Zodiac Killer (podcast soundtrack) has a couple songs at the start that are quite jazz-inspired. Definitely worth checking out.

Time flies, almost two months into the year and the thread lay more or less dormant and then all of a sudden it sprung back to life again! Guess it's time to remove the dust from the keyboard... :)

Shane Seems we've been enjoying a lot of the same stuff released so far this year. Time for me to contribute something to the thread, released almost two weeks ago, but one of the standout songs so far this year for me.

Also, this friday sees the realase of Baldocaster's new album Mirage. All three songs released in some way or another so far are top notch. Really looking forward to that one.

yeah, I'm excited for that Baldocaster release. That Mister the Kid track is great. Think I shared one track before, was hoping that was an album release. Good share!

I'm enjoying this so far. Think you would too.

edit: I think it's great. Cyber Runner is an awesome track.
