Take Two: GTA V has surpassed 175 million copies shipped; RDR2 surpasses 50 million copies

Everytime we get updated numbers for RDR2, I despise Rockstar a little more. Over 2 years of current-gen success and still no support in sight.
I don't even care for a current gen version, just give us a 60FPS patch at least.

And we still can't get dlc or even a current gen port for rdr 2. Just a fucking travesty. Rockstar's greatest masterpiece stuck on last gen console-wise. Smh.
50 million copies sold for RDR2 and they still won't give us a next gen version. GTA Online is still the worst thing to ever happen for fans of Rockstar's games. Great for Rockstar and Take Two obviously, but man it just sucks to see Rockstar coast on GTA for so long when they used to be such a versatile studio.
It blows my mind they never did a GTA V Switch port. I feel like that's another 10m, easy (if not more).

New iterations of previously released titles, does that mean sequels or ports? Probably ports.
GT5 is one impressive achievement. Outside of RDR2, there isn't a single open world game that can rival it. Really hope to see GTA6 soon.

It's crazy how they're just sitting on that money. A chance to sell so many new copies for relatively small effort

I don't think that they want to deal with GTA Online on the switch.
Online probably wouldn't work well. That thing is a monster at this point.
It's a real shame about RDR2. Those are some ridiculously impressive numbers that ANY company would want, but it doesn't hold a candle to GTAV. Unfortunately, I think GTAV's success is putting incredibly ludicrous expectations on games these days, even considering that GTAV found its success through a variety of different circumstances -- most of which go back to it being a GTA game.
The GOAT deserves more than 50 million copies. I would take consistent RDR releases for the rest of my life in return for all of the exclusives from PS and Xbox
I can't believe they cancelled rdr1 remake or port. They could move 20M even if it sucked. It would be amazing to have the remake seamlessly pick up where the second game ends
And 175M is wild. That's roughly as much or more than ps4/Xbox One install sales. (Of course that's coz the game is huge on pc too)

50 million sold copies of RDR2 and no 60fps Remaster, no Undead Nightmare 2... GTA 5 success completely changed Rockstar.
It's so crazy that it's almost 10 years since GTA V launched, I can remember the hype running up to launch like it was yesterday.
I think it sold alone over 35m on PS3 and Xbox 360 before it even came to PS4/Xbox One/ PC
