GTA back in Dundee will be a nice headline.

Less of a journey for those Abertay graduates an' all.

Huh. Any ideas what they got them for? Clearly, they've got experience supporting larger teams. But, it seems really strange to acquire a 40 person studio just for that purpose.

They need more studios because their games are getting bigger with each entry.
Ruffian Games is close to Rockstar North (R* main developer) and they most likely offered some good money to the heads of the studio.

Considering Rockstar managed to make like one single new game during the entire PlayStation 4 generation, they desperately need it.

I'll happily wait half a gen for Rockstar games if the quality is on the level or RDR2 and GTAV. But with the head writer out, I dunno if we'll ever have a story as good as RDR2 again.

The thing is, the generation before they managed to deliver Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto V. And aside from that, also LA Noire, Beaterator, Midnight Club LA and Table Tennis. Sorry, but Red Dead Redemption 2 isn't that good that it can justify that difference.
