Followed all your steps but now my game is crashing right after the company logos.
Hmm. Not sure if this makes a difference but I play in Borderless, not fullscreen. I don't think I missed any steps...

Where does the combat fall in the Tales spectrum? I was looking at picking up a Tales to play. Graces is my favorite game in the series because of the combat alone, and a friend picked this up but said they weren't liking the combat at all. I was also tempted to get Berseria on sale but tried the demo, weird combat and overall super budget feel were putting me off.

Finally beat giant wolf dude after 5 or 6 tries and am so glad I didn't start on hard difficulty.
For anyone curious that wants portability and disappointed at the (from what I hear) bad Switch performance.

ugh damnIf you really enjoyed Graces, this is gonna feel like a pretty hefty step back.
Some characters (Hi, Judith) actually end up with some really fun and deep combat, but everything is dependent on skills, some of which you will not unlock for a very long time.
Yeah, I noticed that too. I had to tinker the sound settings to make things a bit better.Played 4 and a half hours in 1 sitting which is a lot for me with my busy life, loving it just as much as back in the day. Ps4 version is beautiful, the sound seems really unbalanced and off though =\

What settings did you go with?Yeah, I noticed that too. I had to tinker the sound settings to make things a bit better.
I lowered the sound effects because I feel like the voice sounds are too low.
I agree, I've gotten used to itThe guy doing the new Yuri lines isn't terrible. By his own merit, even, I'd say he does a good job. It's just that filling Troy Baker's shoes is a BIG task.
It's not press, but tilt left stick + Square, not O. So if you set sandwich on up, you should tilt up + Square.I'm confused.
Maybe it's because I changed my button setup, but how are you supposed to cook after battle? It's telling me to press the left stick + B, but that just seems to skip everything.
Is it normal for the dualshock lightbar to turn red when booting this up on PS4?

The game looks so much better with Reshade. Using both Curves and Clarity and all that fog is gone.
Huh, that's weird. I'm on PC too but I use DS4, and cook is assigned to Square. Maybe check your button settings?
This is what's showing on my screen. Both the skip and cook buttons are assigned to B somehow. (On PC/Steam.)
fwiw that wolf boss is a ridiculous difficulty spike that isn't repeated in the rest of the game. I still remember that one from when I played the 360 version 10 years ago.yea i'm giving up.
combat is so awful i cant enjoy it. everything is super sluggish, boss fights feel awful with AI dying all over or gettign stunlocked. got to wolf boss in hills and called it quits
Are you saying that there is a way to get PS button prompts?Huh, that's weird. I'm on PC too but I use DS4, and cook is assigned to Square. Maybe check your button settings?
Yes. The game supports DS4 controller natively, so it'll show PS buttons.
is their any advantage or point to playing in manual mode? i keep trying it, and i'm accidentally jumping a lot due to the camera angles.
You get more grade per fight on it, it's personally how I've always played the games but YMMV if it makes it feel too clunky or not. I use free run a lot to avoid jumping.
Yes it was great hearing that dialogue again as I was going through the first dungeon. Such a blast from the past playing this."Yeah I beat you into next week"
"But... can you really?"
"Nevermind"
God yuri is the best jrpg protagonist ever.
The only framerate analysis currently out shows that it runs worse in handheld mode. Including drops during battle.I'm seeing all these people say it runs great in handheld mode, but I'm playing it exclusively like that it and for me it runs pretty bad when walking around the world map o.O
