I'm pretty sure Starla is back in one of the recent episodes, where Homer buys a rare painting from Kurt or something.
That's right. Doesn't she show up at the courthouse claiming she's the reason Kirk bought it in the first place? In the end the painting turned out to be an elaborate forgery.

Even with the meh episodes this season, the guests and the talk help evaluate the episode

Bob and Henry are doing great. Love TS and WAC. Was upset at the separation of Chris and that whole thing, but the boys have pulled through. Always happy to hear Henry in Retronauts too.

Laser time losing Bob and Henry pretty much killed it. Chris is a great podcast personality, Mikel and Diana are good too, but I just don't care for the others. I keep tuning in for VGA or Laserime podcast but end up annoyed and immediately delete the podcast 10 minutes in.

Back on topic, haven't really watched simpsons since I got the first few DVD sets when they first released. I was worried season 8 was where things went south, and maybe in some cases it does, but there really are some hilarious episodes here.

Season 11 has the double whammy of bad episodes with 'Kill The Alligator And Run' & 'Saddlesore Galactica'. It also features one of the weaker future episodes and the mean-sprited episode where they kill Maude off.

I know it's highly visual, but I'm surprised they didn't even mention the Sopranos parody:

Or at least reference the 99 cent porno store.

It makes total sense that Krusty would shop there after his entire collection was auctioned off for 12 cents.

Love the show, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the guys interacting with Chris. There was a balance there. But he does strike me as kind of an asshole. Still donate to both Patreons, tho.

It's frankly amazing that a Poochy episode happens and Sonic the Hedgehog is not brought up once. Scrappy-Doo thankfully was.

Reminds me of the time I stumbled across Jay defending Colin Moriarty on Reddit.

As an OSW fan it's bothered me since I found it, never had an opportunity to post about it until now.

I lost a lot of respect for the OSW guys when they reviewed Watchman and came off as people who thought Rorschach was cool and had the right of it.

They're still pretty good at old school wrestling and bad movies though.

I've been listening to the free feed for the past few weeks, and finally subscribed to the patreon, but I'm disappointed to see it doesn't go past 2017. Is there anyway to see episodes older than that (when they were doing season 2-4)?

Always been meaning to listen to this, I follow Bob on Twitter (mostly for the shade he throws at Colin Moriarty), he's good fun.

Update, the boys are going to SF Sketchfest again and teaming up with Everything's Coming Up Podcast again to talk about Principal and the Pauper.

Plus, for 10 dollar Pateron backers, they added a monthly WAC movie podcast which they did Mark of the Phantasm and for this month, KIKI

I've been catching up on the last several months worth of podcasts in the past week or two.

This has been a great run of episodes of The Simpsons and the podcast. Great guests, great commentary. I'm coming up on the Franks Grimes episode with Chapo, but I feel like I should save it for a rainy day to really savor it. I'm sure you've already put the word out, but getting Felix and/or Amber on as guests would be awesome.

The WAC episode with Jeremy about The Maxx was super interesting as someone who only saw bits and pieces of the show when I was really young.

Season 8 has some bad episodes...but it might be my favorite season of all time because the best episodes are among my top ten.

They just crossed 11k. That means 2 mini series per year now.

Only the episodes covering season one are patreon exclusive, right? I would've sworn that's what they always said, but Deep Space Homer is the earliest episode I see on my feed.

This week's episode has to be one of the worst. It was a sports episode and the two hosts are proud to be totally ignorant about sports. Every time the one dude goes off on a tangent about wrestling or Florida I cringe. Also it doesn't help that the guest host sounds miserable. What happened to that third dude they had? They didn't mention he was leaving and then poof he was gone.

Chris left for personal reasons.

Also, Kat is so much of a regular at this point that there's a reason she's in the thread title.

Yeah, they didn't mention Chris because he moved to Florida without telling them.

Also Kat is awesome.

To be fair, Chris wasn't a sports guy either. Kat helps out in the sports episodes because she's a sports fan. To be fair, Henry does know some boxing.

But yeah, Chris is basically the Sam Simon of the show.

But yeah, we have entered the Scully era. This is gonna be interesting.

I enjoyed the recent What A Cartoon on Homestar Runner, although I have a fondness for early internet nostalgia. I identified a lot whe Henry was reminiscing about going through his bookmarks each day. Something I never have to do anymore.

I just wish Henry at this point would drop the lethargic "Oh boy, Bobby" thing altogether. It was cute at first, but now, it's just a bitter pill to swallow knowing that we're not likely going to see Chris again.

Listening to the Joy of Sect episode, and yeah, with all the "persecuted" white males out there, why haven't the Promise Keepers made a come back? Religion and radical right wing politics relating to controlling women are not exactly a mismatch, as we all know.

ok I need some confirmation/denial:

does anyone else find them too know-it-all-y? I usually binge the podcast for a while then get sick of it.

I was listening to the summer of 4'2" episode and they were talking about buying fireworks as kids. And one of them said you had to tell the store that you were buying them to scare birds away at your farm, and the other without missing a beat was like "yeah had to do it all the time!"

I grew up in GA, and am no stranger to state-line fireworks shops. Not once did I ever say this/hear this. These motherfuckers act like they have photographic memory

Sounds like they just had a different experience. Maybe the shops in their area were like that. I've never bought fireworks so I dunno.

I don't find them too much like know-it-alls. Honestly that's what I like about it, getting to nerd out over small things that other people don't care about.

One of them talked about going to a different city to buy them where it was legal. Why would you travel to a legal store and make up a story to buy fireworks.

It literally makes no sense

I think it's just their enthusiasm. Henry sometimes comes off as a little half cocked but he's a solid dude.

I tend to prefer What a Cartoon these days but I still always listen to and enjoy Talking Simpsons. Season eight and nine are really good.
