I am considering pre-ordering a bunch of titles through the end of the year and into spring, since 33% off is pretty good (even better than GCU).
How does pre-ordering through Target.com work though?
Do you receive the game on release date or do they wait until release date to ship it?
How do pre-order bonuses work? Do you get codes emailed to you or some other way? When do you get the bonuses?
Yes.
Hmm. I'm gonna check it out and see how cheap I can get a game.
The cheapest you'll get a game is 33% off.Hmm. I'm gonna check it out and see how cheap I can get a game.
nope Retail only. I don't think any retailer heavily discounts digital copies
Only PC digital. Digital is almost never on sale at a retailer.
Is the 10% discount a code you redeemed or is it bound to your Target.com account as an employee?
I just added 3 PSN cards to my cart and nope, it doesn't work.
Wow, I don't remember this applying to pre-orders in the past. I used to hate having to settle on a game I didn't want just to take advantage of the deal, but now I have one new game to test out the XBX and two future games to look forward to (assuming I don't forget I've already pre-ordered them).
Does Target do the full pre-auth like BestBuy? I'm thinking about getting some preorders.
Detroit, God of War, and Red Dead 2 for me. A little north of $41 ea. w/ tax and Red Card can't really be beat for day one physical. Very happy. :)
Oh, I don't really care about whether I actually have them in my hands on release day at this price. Even "release week" is fine by me. :)I think whether you would receive the preordered games day one is still in question, unless you paid the $15 for Express shipping. Anyone have experience with preordered games from Target.com and delivery?
In my experience, Target.com will continually reauthorize payment until it ships. You'll have to keep that in mind if you're pre-ordering something well in advance of its release date.

Pretty sure he meant like the digital cards for specific games, not store credit.
I believe Target allowed them once before.
Last day to hop on this deal.
Just picked up CoD:WW2, South Park, and Wolfenstein 2.
If anyone is on the fence, I am sure all of these games will be on sale in a few weeks for Black Friday. Target always does a B2G1 right before they sell games cheaper at the Holidays. It's just to get you hyped and have games in your mind if you don't pull the trigger
How is Target on pre-order shipping? Tempted to do this for preorders but less enthusiastic if there's no pre-order release date guarantee on shipping
