Ghosts was the game that killed my enthusiasm for the series so I hope not. Though I pretty much only get the Blops games now anyway.

I don't think this is a tease for anything. Look at her Twitter timeline, there's a lot of this skeleton/death stuff.

So hyped for this. I remember seeing a lot of Respawn folk rejoin the studio.

Ghosts is one of the worst multiplayer shooters but I have a ridiculous amount of play time in because me and my buddy would utterly destroy people in it dropping like 60+ kills in domination no problem , I had like 24 days or something like that and was wayyyyyyy to high on those hacked ass cod leaderboards . I would not touch a sequel

So, MW4 then? Simon "Ghost" Riley origin story maybe?
Also, where are we standing on that MW2 Remaster you already confirmed was under development some time ago? Am I right to assume it's notw a full remaster (not just the campaign) and that we'll see a repeat of Infinite Warfare and CoD4 Remastered with MW2R being bundled with CoD2019's Special Editions?
Edit: typo

I'm surprised people are excited for MW4. Isn't most of the original team gone? Didn't it fall apart during MW3? I remember the maps being significantly better in MW2 and barely played MW3 when compared to 2.

I specifically played MW for the story, so I loved all three campaigns. Just hard to get excited given the team.

Im pretty sure activision saw the feedback of it having no MP and likely put more resources into it.

Seriously, everyone needs to go down her Twitter feed before posting any more speculation. This is just one of many, many, many skull / death / ghost / spooky / occult themed images and gifs shared on her page. This post is not unique or sudden or different.

Yeah, I'm expecting a repeat of what they did with Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered. Full remaster (campaign, spec ops and MP), but at launch it will only be available with CoD2019's Special Editions. Then about a half year or so later a standalone release.

They have hired back many devs that left from Respawn, including Joel Elsie (Lead artist) and Geoffrey Smith (Map Maker)

Smith made the following maps + Angel City and more in Titanfall:

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
This is ontop of the Naughty Dog devs they hired to lead the SP for Infinite Warfare who are studio heads and the talent hired elsewhere.

Yeah, if they're gonna do an MW2 remaster, it'll be this year with Infinity Ward's turn, and also the 10th anniversary of MW2. It just, has to, right?

I could see them even merging MW2 with MW4 MP. Have it's MP run in MW4 instead of a seperate app. Unified progression of battle pass ect.

I absolutely hated Infinite Warfare so I'm not that interested in what these guys cook up next unless they're going back to MW.

Whatever they are working on, I hope they take note from what Treyarch are doing multiplayer wise. BLOPS4 is a massive step forward in most regards.

Could be an amazing year for CoD if we get MW4 with a MW2 remaster and included in that is a battle royale mode.

IW games have great netcode.

Cautiously optimistic

It seems a bit early to be teasing this, doesn't it?

Interesting.

Infinite Warfare got a lot of unwarranted hate. I honestly thought the Single Player was one of the best of the year along with Titanfall 2. Yes, the SP could be improved and the villain was probably the worst they've ever had with barely a presence. But overall, I loved the campaign. Much better change of pace from previous COD games.

The multiplayer was proper shit though. Didn't enjoy it one bit and went back to playing BLOPS III.

I know Infinity Ward can give us good SP games after Infinite Warfare... I hope they don't throw SP out the window like Treyarch. Treyarch was my favourite COD campaign creators till they scrapped it.
I agree, though I actually did enjoy the MP in the grounded mode.

I have often felt IW games have a much nicer feel to them. They seem more fluid than the branch Treyarch are using. Don't know what it is, maybe better input lag, but I feel more at one with IW games.

I played IW recently just to see how is lately and man the MP still feels super smooth and getting kills is satisfying as fuck. Happy to see the dev's still doing some support for the MP and Zombies.

Also man their Zombies was such a good year! Started strong with Zombies in Spaceland. The movie theme really let them be creative and standout from Treyach zombies while still keeping the same structure. The Super Easter Egg and the Director Cut mode were really cool incentives.

I seriously want a follow up to Infinite Warfare. I love that game. It had such a great campaign and it gave me excitement for Call of Duty like never before.

It's not Ghosts 2

It's Ghosts 2: Electric Boogaloo

I hope Modern Warfare 4 is what Black Ops 4 should have been; every campaign remastered on one disk with a new campaign, every single Modern Warfare map ever on one disk, remastered of course, and a battle royale mode.

I feel like each CoD team should try to make their CoD their own unique flavor. I can kind of feel it now. Treyarch makes the ones with specialists, Sledgehammer experiments with the formula, and IW sticks to the tried and true MW feel.
