Why is the next generation of tennis players so shit. Not even Murray-tier.

Sad the match seems to have completely faded after two intense sets. Not sure Thiem will ever be good enough to capture RG while Nadal still plays.

Nadal is a fucking beast on clay.

I thought Thiem might have it if he could withstand the Nadal tsunami coming in the 3rd. Clearly he could not. Not sure if anyone can beat Nadal when he is on his game at the French.

In all the infinite multiverses there's one where Thiem still wins this match! But the odds are probably worse than 14,000,605:1

Pretty crazy. So when does Nadal stop winning these? 2030 maybe? (and not when he retires, why would he retire if he's still winning =P)

Congrats to Nadal for another French. His seemingly endless prowess on clay is amazing to watch (even as a Federer fan). It's unfortunate the match was, following the riveting 1st and 2nd set, such a lopsided affair.

it's ok Dominic, you did your part. you stopped the evil serbian from winning and for that we'll be forever grateful.

Thiem ran out of gas too. Playing 4 days in a row and then getting Rafa? Not surprised he was double breadsticked
Thiems team reportedly requested a Monday final but were denied

It is meant to rain quite a bit tomorrow, so don't think the organisers could even consider it. At least there will be a roof next year.

This kid interview gives Kyrgios a grilling in the first minute. Classic.

It's also just crazy that Barty sits at World #2 and she's chosen to rest up instead of chase points, a number of Aussies are praising her for taking a rest after the French. Apparently if things fall her way she may go into Wimbledon as #1, in place of Osaka.

Barty takes down Venus Williams 6-4 6-3 at Birmingham to move into the semis. I believe if she makes it into the final she will take #1. Validation that rest did her good and was smart decision.
