Art is....mean. Slashers like Jason and Michael Meyers kind of feel like they're killing people like its a job, Art the Clown just absolutely relishes it, which really helps push the fucked up angle.

So we can get a Terrifier 3 trailer in 4K but big movies still don't get them lmfao

Big studios probably have so many standards set regarding that kinda stuff, it's probably a nightmare just to make something simple like that happen.

On the flip side, I wouldn't be surprised if this was uploaded directly to YouTube from Damien Leone's personal editing rig.

Never watched any of these but seen clips on TikTok. Is he immortal or supernatural or something? Or is he just a normal serial killer type?

I'll put it in spoilers
For most of the first movie you think he's just a dude, but the ending reveals he's supernatural and seemingly somewhat immortal.

Never seen these because they look like just torture/violence porn. Are they worth watching? Not trying to just be grossed out lol.

They're very gross and very mean, in a weirdly fun way. The first doesn't really have any plot but the kills are humorous in how over the top and graphic they are. The second movie actually has some plot and characters and starts building a mythology. If you have a weak stomach they probably aren't for you.

Just to clarify on this:

He is mortal in the first movie, but that supernatural creepy clown girl apparently brought him back from the dead and is working to make him immortal (or something, it's still super unclear)

it's meant to be over the top to the point where it's comedic really. but it is extremely graphic and gross.

From what you described no. It's torture porn.

Ah crap, maybe I'll pass then. Thanks folks.

I wouldn't call Terrifier true torture porn when the deaths and things are so ridiculously OTT. I can't actually watch films like Saw any more that make it look so realistic, but I'm good with Terrifier as it's so ridiculous and has a heavy prosthetic look to a lot of the kills.

To add a little more:
They're probably not cannon, but Art the Clown's first appearance was from the short film All Hallow's Eve where he is a literal reality warper. It could be that the mainline films will lead up to this, especially with some of the weirdness we saw in the second film.

Love the teaser, can't wait.
Ohh there was a split second frame of something, will have to check that out 😅

They're going to have to go all-out to top the bedroom murder, that was fucked.

What was the clown girl's name in Terrifier 2? The one who started stalking Art.

It was amusing how unsettled/puzzled he was everytime she showed up.

Really hope they don't go back to having Art murder little kids on screen. I watched All Hallows Eve during October and that was just uncalled for in there.

I know my friends are going to want to see it day one, but we'll see.

I have absolutely no problem with gore if it serves the story but i hate and feel disgusted if it's gore for gore's sake and torture porn,i imagine this series is not for me.

Definitely gory torture/violence porn, but sort of a unique vibe in that the killer clown is always smiling and doing mime faces and whatnot. Part of me wanted to cover my eyes and look away and another part of me was giggling at Art's facial expressions and body language, and how over the top the kill scenarios are.

This scene is probably the most brutal kill in both movies (not for the squeamish) if you wanna give it a try.

Okay, I am not a big fan of horror, but this is so over the top, that was hilarious. Gave me some Brain Dead vibes with how stupid this was. xD

I maybe need to watch these.

Just a note, the tone of the original is very different and it includes one of the most mean spirited kills you'll see in a slasher.

Oh fuck...
Do they have the guts to kill that kid on on-screen? That is territory even the worst gore movies don't venture to.

A certain movie about evil just didnit this year.
I have not seen that but remember what you are talking about here, this is Terrifier. Art would rip limbs and play christmas carol on the exposed rib cage.

After succes of Terrifier 2, Leone got approach by major studios but ALL bailed out when he showed them opening script and note that he accepts zero compromises.

Hollywood Studios Reject ‘Terrifier 3’ Due To Its Extremely Violent Opening Scene

‘Terrifier 3’ is quickly becoming widely known for its brutal gore and extreme violence, something Hollywood execs don’t want to fund by the looks of it.
Anyway, this is my most anticipated movie of 2024 lol. Terrifier 2 was an absolute blast in cinema, a night I will never forget honestly. Art is honestly the best slasher villain since the classics like Jason/Freddy/etc.

They absolutely nailed Art design. I honestly didnt think we would ever get something on par with the classics.

The most unsettling thing about the bedroom scene to me was that it almost felt like a rape scene. The worst kill in 1 was already bad enough. I hope Leone steers away from that sort of thing in 3.

For now, she's only referred to as the Little Pale Girl. I'm sure she'll be getting more backstory in this film, given how prominently featured she was in 2 and the fact that we still don't know a drop of anything regarding the Terrifier, her connection to it, and just what the hell is underneath it all that Sienna caught a glimpse of with her near-death experience.

I can't stress enough how great it is that they're going for an Xmas theme here.

Yeah apparently the opening of this film made him lose a lot of funding so that tells me kids are probably getting killed in T3.

So I haven't watched these movies, but recently just watched the Evil Dead Rises. How does the gore in these films compare to something like that?

The lore is deep and complicated

The Terrifier films definitely have a very tactile approach to the gore, since Art is a very, very hands on kind of slasher that really relishes in all the brutality he inflicts on folks. I can assure you that no mainstream film would ever come close to the heights that Art reaches with his kills just because of how extra he gets for the sake of amusing himself.

Honestly, it's better to just show what can go down in these films to give you an idea, and I think the intro to the second film really gets at what Art is all about: someone who kills viciously, but is able to bend reality and disbelief just enough to let you in on the joke at the center of it all once it gets past a certain point.
