Yo, Terry Crews is the dude. Good shit.
He is right on. Good for him to speak up on it
Agree with him in this. Sadly it’s ingrained in our culture.
Unfortunately, it will never change.
oh it's true, and it's worse in countries were Machismo is expected as normal.
I love Terry Crews so much. He is absolutely right.
terry crews keeps on being the goat
So fucking true and I hate it so much.
Terry Crews is a treasure.
No lies detected.
Crews is one of my favorite people.
Not much to add besides, 'he's right'.
I wonder if there's a way through education to deconstruct this cycle? Would the media influences still overpower it?
What a guy! Masculinity is some dumb shit and needs to go extinct along with the neanderthals who obsess over it.
That's my prez
Not a big celebrity guy typically, but I would love to sit down and have a conversation with this man.
I'd love to hear more of him explaining how he switched views.
Terry is who I strive to be
I love this man.
There are inherent natures in our gender that will ensure certain values are maintained like men mostly persuing women and women conforming to some stricter standard of beauty than men.
But the way women can stand up for themselves more with each generation will have an influence on long term relationships. Who knows about fling culture.
You know this shit is true when you realize you gotta explain to people "#metoo" is not an "attack on men" by bringing up that Terry motherfucking Crews was sexually harassed and is part of the movement, because people into this cult can't empathize until you bring up that men are also victims.
Good on Crews, the dude is a legend.
Saying what needs to be said. I really admire Terry Crews a great deal.
Easy for you to say when you have the body of an Olympic god ;-;
I love this idea I don't think women are human because of my views on the word bitch, fuck outta here nigga
He's absolutely right. Not much more to add.
Give that man a wig, a machine gun and a ballot box
Terry is absolutely correct. It's nice seeing someone like him speaking out about this.
Agree 100%. My wife and I get so much shit because she’s the “bread winner” and I’m a stay at home husband. She is definitely way more vocal than me. We’re also best friends and some people at just baffled by how we can spend so much time together. We even do matching outfits sometimes and I love it. We’re huge dorks, but she’s supposed to be the ole ball and chain, women amirite? It’s so archaic. I admire her so much.
Neither of us should be seen as “lesser” as a result.
Seriously though Crews is one of the only celebs who the more I hear about, the BETTER of a person he seems to be.
Terry speaking the truth
It definitely can be. I don't know what the internet's obsession is lately with labeling men cucks or soyboys, and talking about alpha males but it's gotten to the point where it's just sad to see.
The thread title suggests that he was referring to masculinity as a cult in general, which as a statement I would disagree with. Masculinity, like any social construct, is a complex beast. Reading the actual post however reveals a more nuanced approach to how it "can be like a cult" and I completely agree with him 100% on that. Any sort of social construct can form a cult like behaviour amongst people who adhere to its values, or lack thereof. I would say though that masculinity is by far the most dangerous cult there has been over the last few thousand years.
Can we please trade him for trump?
Literally the only things i know about this Terry Crews person is that he's connected to Crackdown somehow and that everytime there's a thread about him he's spitting hot fire. Seems like a cool guy.
