I thought the appeal of a Tesla was to be more environmental friendly. That idea is so fucking stupid
Yeah, the primary purpose of windscreen wipers isn't to clean the glass it's to clear away water to maintain visibility.
How can Tesla solve the problem of lasers causing permanent damage to people's eyes???:
See, the idea of using lasers for this is stupid, but this isn't a good argument. Technically cars can kill people, but that's not the use they're being sold for. Which is also to say, you shouldn't be pointing lasers at people's eyes.
So lasers strong enough to melt debris... in front of the unprotected eyes of drivers and passengers...

I always thought it should be something like horizontal Kevlar threads that cycle around the windscreen. Wipers do feel oddly old fashioned. Anyone ever use Rain-X?

Personally I was hoping for a handheld laser like a ligthsaber that you use to squeegee your windshield with.
