Was just reading a thread on here and next thing my browser takes me to some other website but luckily it was blocked by my ISP. Can't remember the exact URL but I think it had dollar in the URL.

Ugh... Disney again. You know what we need? An ad system like The Something Awful forums. Have all the ads for a time period rotate in and out, with the ability to browse all ads. That way we can pinpoint exactly which ad is being a cobknobbler and strike it from the list. May be a bit hard considering we would have to have far more ads in lieu of the paid services offered by SA that offset the cost, but hey...

YO, the new overlay ads that pop out while you're reading or scrolling have got to go, lads.

This shit is awful and I'm giving it a couple more days before i enable adblock. Am I browsing for torrents here or what?

It's annoying enough that one of my e-mails gets spammed to shit with GOP crap from some "think tank" that bought e-mail lists, reporting these ads on the ad when I can but it doesn't seem to really work too well. Probably not breaking rules or anything but still fucking annoying to keep seeing.
Lololol i first thought that said "CHADS" and assumed it must be an incel thing.

I was sitting on a page for awhile and then this series of redirects happened (copied this from browser history). The one at the bottom then tried to get me to install a Flash plugin (don't know if it was going to be legit or malware). I'm running Safari on a MacBook running Mojave.

What is with these floating ads? They're so annoying and obtrusive and getting more frequent. Needs to be fixed ASAP

I'm guessing ERA isn't using the same ad vetting service they started with. Because this crap wasn't happening all the time until recently (at least not for me). Look at that bullsh*t third URL below. Ffffffffffff.

Can't ad scripts be sandboxed to make this redirect BS impossible?

I'm beginning to suspect this advertising is going entirely to keikaku (translators note: "keikaku" means "plan").

second time it's happened, both in different pages with the same ad, no report ad button either

I keep getting an ad today that crawls over the right side of my mobile screen. I can exit out of it easily enough, but every time it happens I have significant issues getting many buttons to work until I refresh, especially quoting and submitting posts.

Apologies for the troubles, unscrupulous ad buyers go nuts during and after Black Friday.

Our partners are monitoring this thread and doing all they can to curtail it.

It's been happening for weeks. I don't bother with reporting it here. Yall know whats up already.

Sometimes it gets in the way of making actual posts or edits.

In addition to the frying pan ads on mobile, that actually slide over with other ads above them, blocking multiple rows of text, I'm now noticing that some of them, such as a Best Buy ad I just got, can't be dismissed.

This is beyond intrusive, and I find it hard to believe that ads that permanently cover a static portion of the screen can't be simply disabled, though I'm sure those ads pay significantly more than the standard header and footer ads.

Are these being done away with, soon? Because I feel like I'm browsing a tabloid site now.

Before the site redesign I was getting redirects everyday. I don't know how though because there was a topic saying how resetera had employed a platinum plus preferred ad platform that had humans screening every ad in it?

But today I'm reporting a lack of ads. Ever since the redesign no ads show up but now I have the huge banner at the bottom about subbing to the site. Hell, Id prefer ads over that thing because scrolling to the bottom of a page only to have to scroll up a ton to see the bottom post is a hair pulling experience.

I think the button to report ads should be directly under the ad and not completely to the left of the page. Why is the report link so far away from the ad?

I had just left a thread open on my phone and out of the corner of my eye I saw an ad take the entire window over. Thankfully, the URL I was redirected to apparently broke when presented with my IPv6 so I only saw an error message.

This is the second or third time it has happened.

Browser: Chrome
Platform: Android
URL: http://paramonos-oha.com/resetera.c...om&domain_id=6c856d4bf8ca4e19579a4edf81751e0f
Got this exact same one this morning.

I've gotten two different redirect ads while simply looking at a random thread without touching anything on Android Chrome. Unfortunately it does a pop-up AND somehow completely deletes the history for the tab, so I can't even see what caused it, and you can't go back, and it's hard to close or find info on since you have to kill it. I don't even know how that's possible to delete the tab history.

I'm getting notifications from Safari on Mac OS that the Resetera tab is using "significant energy". The page also twitches up and down every 15 to 30 seconds, presumably loading a new ad. Unpleasant.
