Seriously though, in terms of setup, I guess that's that. Couldn't help but be distracted by the apparent disconnect between Die-Hardman's vocal and motion performances, tbh...I wonder how much of the stuff they were able to record with the actors on-site...

I watched this when it leaked. I feel like it makes no sense to release this to the general public. This is a long-ass info dump that expects the viewer to already have a background knowledge on the game's world and setting, which it doesn't explain at all.

For anyone wondering it just kind of explains what your mission is but really not much about anything else. Kind of answers the question watching previous trailers of "wtf am I doing?".

i find it weird that the Homo Daemons just let her speak to Sam and Bridges, which i assume is one of their main antagonists

"yeah we captured you, but feel free to use any of our resources in our facility, we have drinks in the lounge etc. etc."

Does anyone still find it weird that this game is really American-centric, focused on rebuilding America even though the Death Stranding is a worldwide phenomenon

huh, that actually does explain a lot. sounds like the network is some sort of metaphysical connection that holds a kind of power, more than just being able to talk to each other.

seems like everything fell to shit and everyone bailed, and she's next in line because she's the only one still trying to re-establish the country.

It establishes the mission of the entire game. Rather economically by Kojima standards, too. Like if this was MGS4 it would've taken two extra hours to say the same stuff, lol.

It's the one that finally explains the mission; it was previously shown behind closed doors at GC (I believe).

Cliff seems to be a character who isn't inherently evil, even though most of the media has made him out to be the antagonist. Higgs has a connection to the other side so it wouldn't surprise me if he's acting out a lot of the work of the Homo Demens through his connection to Cliff in "Hades".

gonna wait and see where this falls on the kojima spectrum. it's shit on either side so you have MGS4 on one side and MGSV on the other. this needs to fall right in middle with MGS3 for me to be interested.

i think it's the delivery that's bothering me. Amelie's actor is really hamming it up. just such a dead serious, breathy... pausey... delivery... because this has meaning, Sam!
