I might be stupid or something but I found the thing very finicky to attach. I lined up the headphone jack straight in but somehow I just couldn't make it snap in place. After twisting and turning for 5 minutes it just went in and everything is working great.
It depends on how you normally hold the controller. If like me your fingers rest normally where the attachment goes, you're going to have to completely change how you hold it. I'm finding my hands now hurt after gaming for a little while compared to never hurting before. My hope is that if the DS5 has these paddles that they're placed more ideally.
Now sold out online from Target/Gamestop/Walmart.
Sony really underestimated demand here.
Are we sure DS5 has back button ? It was not in the patentI wasn't planning on getting this but the reviews have been great and the price is right, it is basically a taste of the DS5.
Not sure but I assume it will be implemented in some way.
Maybe DS5 will also get a back button attachment
It doesn't need to be on the patent to be on the DS5. I would say it is 50/50 that the DS5 has back paddles out of the box.
I feel it would freak the casuals out . U know how they r lol 😂It doesn't need to be on the patent to be on the DS5. I would say it is 50/50 that the DS5 has back paddles out of the box.
Picked one up, I will say using it for anything other that L3/R3 or the Dpad will take some getting used to. Also since it only replicates and does not add a button, I find myself trying to figure what to do with it. Outside of that its a pretty neat attachment.
Seriously. Gonna stop at Walmart on the way home and cancel my preorder if it works out.
Received mine from Amazon JP
You do need to adjust how you handle the controller to avoid clicking it unintentionally, but overall the triggers are well made and you can feel the clicks (if that makes sense)
Is this custom painted or an officially released color? I want it! I have the Alpine Green one but this is nicer.
Damn that color is beautiful !Received mine from Amazon JP

Walmart undercuts everybody. All their Switch games are $50 too, that's normally $60. But yea it's $25 at Walmart going to get that now!Why is It 25 bucks? I preordered one from them online and hasn't shipped and it was 30!! Damn
I'm surprised at the number of people surprised at how useful this is lol.
Have you guys never heard of paddles before or something?
For any game where taking your hands off the sticks is a hassle. Or action games where you have to hold down too many buttons on the face to do stuffI don't really know much about this, but what games is this designed for, primarily shooters?
I did it backwards and cancelled my Amazon pre-order without realizing it may be out of stock elsewhere lol.Seriously. Gonna stop at Walmart on the way home and cancel my preorder if it works out.

It's definitely something that is still "niche" or "for enthusiasts" but for sure should be the norm going forward imo.I'm surprised at the number of people surprised at how useful this is lol.
