Yes. That's the plan.
Awesome, I'll have to keep an eye out. When I know the date I can plan my S1-3 binge to be ready for S4No, but The Expanse is heading to SDCC this month and I'm betting we'll know then!
Oh hell yes. I consider everyone that post in this thread a new member of my family.
I can't believe I hadn't watched this show before 2019. Love it.
I would also like to see a bigger budget for open spaces with tons of people. The show reduced the size and complexity of many locations [Ceres, Eros, Nauvoo, etc] from the book.Looking forward to seeing how amazon takes the show further into the books. The scope of the story keeps growing, curious to see how they manage to adapt the later books.

Looking sharp, team! Those outdoor shooting sessions are looking to pay off in spades.
Gotta say, I'm a little disappointed that it looks so Earthy. I understand why (it'd be too expensive)but I was hoping that it'd, I dunno, look more alien. I definitely imagined it more alien while I read the book.
The appeal is that they're habitable and not that they visually look like Earth.

Are you being obtuse as a troll or something
Dude, I'm talking about how the trees and grass look. No,
Earth like planets has stuff like plants and water and land. Much like Earth, because those are the things that make Earth habitable. We can't exactly live on the moon, because the moon doesn't have water and plants. Same goes for Mars, Venus, and basically all the other planets in this Solar System. But if a planet is habitable, then it's safe to say that it has all those things that makes Earth great to live on. Sure, it may not look 100% the same but it should look similar to Earth.

I read the books, I know there's trees and grass but they were always described is looking not quite the way they look on Earth. Pretty much everything they find on the planets have Earth counterparts but they visually look different. The appeal is that they're habitable and not that they visually look like Earth.
Ok. I was so confused by the previous posts. Thank you.Maybe there should be something said about spoiler rules here?not sure all show watchers assumed there'd be visits to alien planets as of yet, those shots could be on earth as far as anyone that's not the books can tell.
And regarding it not looking alien enough, I tend to agree, though it could be fixed with CG that seems to be lacking in those promo shots. Though it's been quite a few years since I read Cibola Burn, I tend to recall the planet being pretty barren with regards to vegetation, no trees iirc, but I could recall wrong.
There's already photoshop of this on reddit. :)
weren't they going to do some announcement the day before too?
As far as I go, they had scheduled signing sessions, nothing more.weren't they going to do some announcement the day before too?
