The female Predator in Hunting Grounds sucks and is significantly worse than how female Predators are in novels.

Predator don't have a solid cannon, it's as fluid as it comes. What's true is only true as long as something else doesn't come along to say differently.

In short, anything is possible, but it doesn't mean you'll see it.

What bugs me more then the height thing is that we once again we have what is clearly a non-mammalian species that has breasts.

I mean we dont really see the female predator next to anything in the trailer to judge the scale by, so as far as we know she is giant. But I am going to assume in actuality that she probabaly is about the same size as the other predators.

But also...I dont really care.

Should predator women have breasts??? Honestly I think it's fine because both the male and female predators have like the same amount of clothing/armor on. I do like the idea of bigger predator women though.

Or they just weren't aware of something one dude wrote from the 90s. Not a big deal. Still the first female Predator in a game as far as I know of so that is already pretty cool.

This is a very common issue with artists renditions of "other" races/beings.

There is almost no imagination for anything regarding humanoids of the female sex/gender. You can see male species all buffed up, huge, different proportions, but you look at the female versions of the same races and it's literally all the same chest/hip ratio and always in a thinner/smaller frame.

Even if it turns out that it's not "cannon", it's still propagating an issue regarding fiction and the "default" nature of how people view women.

It makes no sense for an alien to be bipedal, have two arms, have two eyes above their mouth and four fingers with one opposable thumb, not to mention a muscular structure almost exactly the same as a human's, so it's pretty absurd to act like boobs cross a line. If we want to talk scientifically, there is zero chance Predators and Homo Sapiens are not very closely related.

That's another annoying thing about female character designs: homogenous swimsuit model bodies. Street Fighter character designs have their issues, but at least the designers understand that women can have muscles and different builds.

Well in the comics they also didn't hunt at all so non cannon video gamey fun is whatever.
Those plasma casters better tear holes in people though...that's where they could lose me on this one.

I don't get it, devs work to be inclusive to the point of adding gender to monster aliens that kill people and the best people come up with is "I don't like this design?" I feel like the devs added something didn't have to and no one would have even noticed, but because this model doesn't look like some unfeminine roid monster someone once wrote about it's horrible? I really feel people miss the forest for the trees(they don't like). We are living in an age where female representation in games is getting more and more mainstream but we can't celebrate anything we can only complain when that representation doesn't match what we feel it should look like. Like the representation doesn't count because you don't like boob plates. Sigh. I think the design is cool and I like the fact they made a female murder machine that looks just as capable as the other predators.

I like the design but I get where people are coming from and just trying to dismiss any criticism is odd.

Agreed. People are latching onto an idea/design that was only described by one dude and treating it like it's the canon design. There is no official female Predator in the movies. And they're barely ever shown or acknowledge outside of a few comics. Each design different than the other interpretations, so yeah, this is the interpretation the devs are going for. The Predalien has a different design in the movie and games due to interpretation from different people. If someone wants to make a female Predator with characteristics like the novelization, I'm all for it.

I think The Description of The Female Predator from Rage Wars Trilogy just like Male Predator.

Some of the biology talk in this thread is literally "piss is stored in the balls" level.

I don't get why they needed to make 'female' predators in the first place. You could easily just have the species not be sexually dimorphic and avoid the issue altogether instead of running headfirst into the 'make it sexy' wall.
