If his platform (when established) is not the one you like best, and / or you find his explanations unsatisfactory, it is fine not to vote for him in the primary. The author presumably wants people to vote for Bernie.
I just hope people vote for whoever ends up facing trump.
It's not about disagreement, it's about witnessing those with a desire to sow political discord on the left while offering no practical solutions. It's about obsessively trying to deflate people's excitement and curiosity about potential contenders. It's about sharing super, super spun articles that try to frame a percentage point more of voting with Rs as radically off from how other Ds vote. It's about shooting down every candidate, as bloody as possible, then refusing to say who you'd support (btw, Helio none of this was meant with you in mind even though I think your points are are uniformly bs). Etc. etc etc.

Back at the old place it was super easy to spot Russian trolls because if you looked at the post history they never posted about anything or contributed to any thread EXEPT when it was Russian related, would spend entire threads whataboutisming over Russian foreign policy, and as soon as they got called out they'd disappear and a new one with the same type of post history would reappear.

Well, that's not the historical use every where, even in the US prior to the 1930s. Liberal is has a completely different praxis to leftism / socialism / labor movement. They may have a concordance in social liberties, but liberals and leftist are primarily antagonized by their take on capitalism.

The 1930s were 90 years ago and we're talking US politics. Liberals are left wing, leftists are the further left/Socialists.
Using liberal as an insult is the easiest way to identify yourself as being out of touch with US politics or as a conservative.
Bernie and Warren at about equal levels. Even if all they can do their entire Presidency is appoint cabinet / executive positions and judges, I feel like they'll be eons better than other candidates. This country needs an FDR type president and movement or we can possibly be back in the same position with a fascist president again.
Biden is pretty conservative even if he does the folksy white guy thing well on paper. Gillibrand and Harris are pretty tight lipped about their platform so far and I frankly do not believe for a second they would come out swinging against the corrupt wealthy in any meaningful capacity. And Beto reminds me of too much of the worst, huggy feely try to play nice with Republicans during his debate performances against Ted Cruz in an era where I feel like throwing bricks through windows and rioting.
Pretty sure I already said that, pretty sure in fact that was what was the entry point to the conversation chain...

Not sure I got that impression, but then again, you seem pretty sure based on how many times you needed to specify it, so sure thing.
I had concerns about some of what i had heard and the establishment democrats and the usual suspects in the media cozying up to him for a run(which is usually never good) but i wasnt looking to condemn anyone outright, only push that the concerns should be considered before we jump in any blind hype train for the Presidency which is so very important. Because i've done this song and dance before of putting whatever blank slate positions i want onto a candidate and having them let me down due to me not seeing it coming. The people i personally prefer to run are aside from that point.
Even when CNN did their poll, i was more concerned about biden and harris than Beto because i knew more damning things about them than i did about him.
But as more comes out, yes, now i feel my reservations were fully justified.

no, but seriously, criticizing Democratic primary candidates is actually an extremely good and right thing to do, especially considering that Beto is actually quite a bit more conservative than expected given his district's voting patterns and is skating by (heh) based on his charisma. this is definitely something that he genuinely does need to answer for, in much the same way that Warren needs to answer for why the hell she did the DNA thing and Harris needs to answer for some really weird choices made as AG and Biden needs to answer for like... busing and a million other things and Sanders needs to answer for literally nothing do not question sweet Bernard what he's done to address his relative lack of foreign policy experience. everyone has questions that need to be answered, and asking those questions is in no way inappropriate or suspicious.
