I honestly think they should do a Glory for the Losers and Frozen Tear Drop anime.

I would like to think if they toned down the stupid Frozen Teardrop would be pretty good.GotL yes, I like the changes to the tv anime and I prefer Katokis designs to Ookawaras but I Frozen Teardrop is so fucking stupid lol
He probably doesn't even remember what that isSo supposedly someone asked Tomino why he remade G Reco, and his response was "It wasn't very successful and I'm depressed about it, so I'm remaking it and you all better watch it."
Even if that's a joke, it pisses me off. You could have remade Gundam F91, for fuck's sake. You chose to remake a thing that almost NO ONE liked instead?

Early buzz is that this is already off to a better start. Idk man someone's creative people go with something they're more interested in working on.So supposedly someone asked Tomino why he remade G Reco, and his response was "It wasn't very successful and I'm depressed about it, so I'm remaking it and you all better watch it."

Why the fuck did Bandai greenlight THIS?!
I'm sorry, I think this was just a passion project for him.
LMAO. Most likely. It failed, someone took his notes and made a manga out of it, whatever lol
My opinion on "What if F91 was the show they wanted to make" is just kind of "It would be just another Gundam, and still not very interesting."
F91 has a myriad of problems, but the biggest damning thing about it is that without awkward pacing, it's just too derivative of other Gundam works. It hardly has any real ambition or new take on the world of Gundam. Cosmo Babylonia is just "Purple Zeon".
For me, Victory Gundam kind of solidifies it, too. Victory at best is just sort of... Okay? Its before the era of AU Gundams and in 2019 the only purpose it servesin the grand scheme is "It's just another Gundam". It's not terribly interesting - The main cast feels derivative of ZZ and F91, the bad guys once again look like Zeon, there's some ugly MS and everything has tires.
I think the idea of pirates in UC Gundam is super appealing, but honestly I don't think I could handle a Crossbone adaptation if everyone in it looked like this
Maybe they watched the movies.Zeta is peak Gundam. Of course anything will be worse than Zeta.
You mean Mari Okada?I'm cool with another visit to IBO if it isn't another pointless smorgasbord commercializing suffering, depression and despair without a message or a point.
Nagai is a hack.
Nah obviously G Gundam is Gundam at its GUndamiest, I mean look at how many Gundams the Gundam has GundamMSG: The Origin manga, Unicorn, 00's first season and IBO are all peak Gundam. Do not @ me as this is the correct take and the material people respond to the most and is easiest to in onboard people into Gundam fandom with.
By this logic SD Gundam wins! Congrats all SD Gundam shows for being the best Gundam.Nah obviously G Gundam is Gundam at its GUndamiest, I mean look at how many Gundams the Gundam has Gundam

This is the Toonami threads reaction. A lot of them hate Unicorn because they have never seen 0079, Zeta or ZZ. Granted some have seen those and still didn't like Unicorn.I know a ton of people come into the franchise through Unicorn, but I honestly can't imagine watching that without at least a little grounding in UC first. I feel like it would turn me off entirely.
If we're talking about the Gundamiest Gundam, the most pure hit possible of everything about the franchise for better and worse, my vote is with Zeta. That doesn't mean it's necessarily the best.

Even if this is true, she is still an interesting character. Horrible people are an almost necessary feature of Gundam. Be they protagonists or antagonists and she was both.
She's only better than Jamaican and Bask as a person. Also Zeta has some Gundam ass names.Even if this is true, she is still an interesting character. Horrible people are an almost necessary feature of Gundam. Be they protagonists or antagonists and she was both.
Do you mean vagina names? :P
Unicorn is pretty, has a good story that maybe isn't the most self contained thing but sells it's drama and history convincingly. That makes new viewers who aren't put off by that kind of thing want to see more of what the franchise has to offer. That's been the case for several people I know. It's an odd starting point, but the care and love put into it by every cast member (hell, even the dub is good) gets people sold. It has gravitas and messages in it people resonate with.I know a ton of people come into the franchise through Unicorn, but I honestly can't imagine watching that without at least a little grounding in UC first. That's exactly how I describe The Origin, too! And also what makes me love The Origin so much. Even the OVA somehow managed not to be too much. Really hit the right balance. The Origin manga may be my favorite MSG media. The story arc of the original series is so good, and it manages to do it justice while filling in back story... and somehow it works instead of being the typical prequel-nobody-wanted too much detail.
