bummer, that was one of the changes i wanted in this remake. oh well.
Nintendo isn't exactly immune to technical issues. Reviewers (and gamers in general) have just become more sensitive to them.Every review mentions technical issues. Is this the first time Nintendo missed the quality mark like this?
Yeah, seems they really kept the remake to the original true here.bummer, that was one of the changes i wanted in this remake. oh well.
Yeah how many game boy games would still be relevant today gameplay-wise?

Sometimes I wish I were you ;D It's a Masterpiece and I'm sure you will've alot of fun playing Zelda: Link's Awakening :)Oh, never played the original but just pre ordered this!
Huge zelda fan but this is the only one i've never played :(
so the photography quest is entirely removed?By the way you can still use the guides for the Game Boy release. This is totally true to the original release. They only added only more seashells and changed the photographer for the Dungeon creator. Also more heart pieces to get.
Do I need a PAL region account to redeem the code?Heads up, shopto.net have this for £39 both physical and digital code.
Yup exactly. Instead you have the dungeon creator house. They also changed the seashell rewards. You get an seashell finder too.
Really, with Nintendo you could go all the way back to the NES days. They aren't perfect, nor should they try to be.
Didn't most reviews of BOTW mention techincal issues?Every review mentions technical issues. Is this the first time Nintendo missed the quality mark like this?
Hoot! Hoot!
More than you think, probably. There were a lot of great games on it!

Breath of the Wild...
Nice streak for Switch games, kinda shame Switch is not just a tiny bit more powerful so these performance issues could be ironed out.
Are you in NA? First party releases always go live at midnight ET
mario maker 2 - 88Fantastic reviews
Great way to end the summer for Nintendo, great season for them
Right? Glad we agree on that!
Been true since 3DS first got retail games digitally. Is this for sure? Because that would be 9 pm for me which would be dope!!
Looks like my prediction is right so far. 😎I'm still predicting 86-90.
Can't wait to play it. I've got it pre-loaded!
In the end, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening remade and rebuilt for the Nintendo Switch is downright delightful. A memorable return to the stunning Koholint Island, and for newcomers to experience a journey they'll savour for years to come. The Switch just got its second must-play Zelda.
No. BotW had some framerate drops in random areas at launch, still has some in the forest area. Xc2 was criticized to lower the resolution to really low numbers in handheld mode. FE 3H looks and performs way worse than most 1st party Switch games.Every review mentions technical issues. Is this the first time Nintendo missed the quality mark like this?
speaking of game boy remakes, i really think they can do something special with super mario land. of course it can't be 1:1 like link's awakening and has to be greatly expanded, but a 2D mario game outside of mushroom kingdom, with all the crazy enemies, powerups, etc of the super mario land games would be great.
Doing Cadence of Hyrule dirty like that SMH
yeah true, wario land deserves another shot on the switch. but there has been wario land games since the gameboy, the world of mario land was completely abandoned.I'd love to see Wario Land get some love. One of my favorites on the system.
Odyssey was kind of this, and I expect a Odyssey 2 game to be even crazier tbh.speaking of game boy remakes, i really think they can do something special with super mario land. of course it can't be 1:1 like link's awakening and has to be greatly expanded, but a 2D mario game outside of mushroom kingdom, with all the crazy enemies, powerups, etc of the super mario land games would be great.
And I like that game, but it was primarily based around A Link to the Past.
You're rejecting the notion of what has literally been happening for the past decade.
BOTW has had only one game. I would wait to see what they can do on a second go.It bums me so much to read reviews talk about the game design like it's not viable today, that's it's too old fashion. I will always think old school Zelda is better design than BOTW.
