I played the shit out of Ducktales as a kid after playing the remaster it held up just fine. I remember enjoying Aladdin on the SNES, it can't be that bad
So it's going to have both the SNES/Genesis versions as well as the remakes? If so, niiiiiiccee!

Ducktales, like most Capcom games of that era, is a good game. I'm referring to the Virgin Aladdin and Lion King games.

The Lion King game is infuriating but I don't recall the Genesis Aladdin game being all that bad. Sure it might not feel as responsive/tight to control as the Capcom game, but I didn't think it was much of an issue.
i'd rather we get a Genesis Illusion/Quackshot compilation over Virgin drek tbh
It plays like other Virgin games around that time like Cool Spot, Global Gladiators, etc., which is to say it plays just fine.
Remakes that hopefully don't suck like their respective film remakes.

I played through Aladdin pretty recently and I was pretty aghast by the collision detection. It rears its ugly head, in particular, around the point of the dungeon stage with the retracting platforms. also, those fuckin' bats.
I'm assuming it will be more along the lines of DuckTales Remastered. Wouldn't surprise me at all to learn that WayForward is doing the ports, either.
Sweet if true, love the MD version of aladdin (and replayed it when I got my Mega SG, still holds up to me.
Not so interested in the snes version as it was way too easy.
Will be interesting to see what tack the remakes take. Would love it to be pixel art but I doubt it. Will probably be the more cartoony style used for Streets of Rage 4 (which I don't like for SoR but will at least fit Aladdin)

Yeah, I played through TLK a couple times recently and aside from the quality of the music, artwork, and animation I think it's pretty bad
Why not both? I only played the Genesis version of movie games and would be on board with trying the SNES ones.
he also designed the much better Goof Troop. which kind of plays like Resident Evil if you think about it.
