If it were just down to who is more visually appealing my vote would be Ada but honestly I think Claire is the best redesign overall.

It's Ada. Everyone looks good but she's the only one that retains a closer likeness.

I haven't really played these games yet beyond the first couple of hours of RE3 the year it debuted but going by these...

Claire > Leon > Ada > Jill > Chris? I guess?

Not sure we can count Chris, the version we see is pushing 50 while the rest are the characters reimagined as we knew them in their prime. In his prime he'd look different

Leon and Ada because they stayed true to the original designs. The other characters have been changed far too much for my taste. Jill and Chris got shafted hard in the current gen.

I think Ada ended up fantastic. She is instantly recognizable because she looks like Ada, but yet she has been impeccably detailed for modern immersion.

Second is Leon. He has been given an intriguing model makeover and sparks imagination in his new take on one of the biggest horror haircuts ever. He looks good, but fresher.

Chris is sad to me. Completely new and unrecognizable appearance. They turned a universally eye catching face into someone's uncle who probably had knee surgery and was asked for a separation by his wife but begged his way out of it to spare his ego for another year.

Chris better lose the fuck out of this poll. Dude was literally sacrificed so the other characters would be more on point.
You can tell everyone else was scanned and altered a bit to fit certain visions. Chris is a 1:1 scan and the called it a day, you can make dandy look more like chris. His appearance in Project Awakening looks more like chris than his RE7 appearance.

Leon looks really great, exactly how you would imagine him in a Gen 8 game.
Claire is good too, but her facial animations are really strange at some points & she makes these dumb faces, it's kind of cute though, but it feels like Capcom had more effort put into Leon's model & animations.

RE7 Chris is an abomination and needs to be shot into the sun.

Rest are boring to me. Don't like the realism.

Ada was almost good but they ruined her by giving her heels and that stupid jacket and glasses which makes her seem much more suspicious compared to the civilian look of old Ada. Seriously, who wears glasses in the dark? Looks stupid as hell.

Leon looks great. He looks his age and I love how realistic his new design is.

Jill looks really authentic to PS1 Jill but with her military background reflecting her design.

Chris looks great. It is the first time I can look at Chris and think he looks cool and not stupid.

Claire looks awesome. Not sure if I should choose her, Jill or Leon. All three were really well done which makes it hard.

But including him is cheating, because he is kinda old in RE 7

I would like to see a young Chris like the rest of the bunch

I can't decide because they are all good.. equally good.

But if I have to vote I will for Chris because it got us over that gorilla design from RE5.

It's Leon or Ada. I guess I'll give the edge to Leon because he looks more real while Ada looks almost too pretty. I understand that seduction is her specialty while working undercover, so looking good is part of her MO, but you would think that she'd at least switch to proper shoes if nothing else once shit hit the fan. Her footwear in the original RE2 actually works better.
