Maybe similar rooms are blocked when you pick one or the other.

Like, if you pick Red, Pink becomes unavailable
Nah, seems too obvious.

Maybe choosing a good room will cause the opposite negative room to be closed off and vice versa.

not sure which ones would do that, just a random thought.

Aight I wanna roll with this Sister Room thing

Green Room - "The voices will be pacified."
Orange Room - "Noise will muddle the voices."

Red Room - "Backs will be turned against the glass wall."
Pink Room - "All eyes will look across the glass wall."

Purple Room - "Unincisiveness will be punished."
Grey Room - "Uncertainty will be punished."

Blue Room - "Fates could change."
Yellow Room - "The voices will also protect."
Dark Room - "Silence will be punished"
Teal Room - "The shield will rise."
White Room - ?

I can't tell for the last ones? Odd number?

So here we are! D1 of a fresh game. Time to figure everything out. I'm still catching up, but first things first:

I'm going to vote for Godfather because he believes in always having a vote in place.

Vote: Godfather

And I'm going to vote to move to the red room because red foxes are the best foxes

MOVE: Red Room

We are in the White Room and it doesn't do anything.

Laid out like this, yeah for sure.

Maybe we should choose a room that we're sure is a sister room like the glass wall ones. So we can see if this theory is correct?

Problem is, figuring out which is a good effect or bad effect.

I imagine the White Room will always do nothing since it's the default room, so the odd number doesn't matter. And labelling it as a question mark makes it sound more mysterious than saying "It does nothing.".

MOVE: Green Room

Seems like the better one between the two. Assuming voices = town. Noise muddling the voices could mean something will muddle our posting or votes during the day?

These noobs are a good batch of noobs, I’m not having to call them out to get participation. And they’re thinking.

I liked the thought that voices could mean votes, I only came up with maybe voices are chats. And the closing off of related rooms, very plausible.

See, I don't think every room's counterpart is the opposite of its impact (Good room's counterpart isn't always a bad room and vise versa). I think there are some good rooms that have good room counterparts and some bad rooms that have bad counterparts.

Looking at the pic i can’t even tell which basically black square is the dark room even.
I had this impression. The one on the right is just nothing right. Looked to be like one of those annoying puzzles where there's an empty space and things have to shuffle around. But doesn't really mean anything to me. That's about all the mechanics speculation I'm up for now. Except that I'm also off the mind dark room all punish floating

so basically if the red room is backs against the wall that to me screams "early pressure" which is good. we want early pressure. It makes the early game more substantiative. Upon further reflection my idea that the red room could be good for progress seems pretty dang sound so I'm gonna promote the idea of the red room

But the orange room seems fun too because red foxes are really just orange foxes i mean come on

anyway the cool folks will take it upon themselves to color the rooms according to their stated color when speaking about them like i do. it's #thematic

when you say "red room" do you actually mean a different room, like when you thought cheesecake was a cake?

What do you think it means by 'the glass wall', just fluff?

So my theory is that some rooms have ‘sister’ rooms, but not all rooms are ‘sister’ rooms

I also doubt that there is an actual layout where the rooms location is important, say if one room is ‘next to’ another

should we test out the sister room theory this early, though, and pick from the similar rooms? The Dark Room feels like such a safer pick for day one, as it likely has everything to do with postcount, and even a townie who isn’t interacting with the game is a detriment to town

Teeeeechnically we can’t use the red highlight color outside of official commands. Also I post from mobile a lot so finding colors is meh.

We’re all on the right idea? Oky.
I will randomly believe the thing that is unpunished by the mod is a real claim and everything.

We have a lot of first-time players here and the posts that have been edited so far were benign, so it's all good, but please, don't edit your posts under any circumstances.

If you have to fix a command, do it by posting it again in the correct way.
I blame myself. I read the rule and I knew this.

Don’t let it reflect poorly on my mentor.
