Not to say Bernie didn't make his share of mistakes. But if getting the black vote was so easy, Joe Biden, who touted his good friendship with white supremacists for all of his professional career, would not be winning the black vote right now in a field of 20 candidates. There's a lot more going on with voting blocks than "giving a good speech or shaking the right hands".After looking at the data, it's really obvious that if Bernie hadn't completely blown his outreach to black voters he could have beaten Clinton. Replace Bernie with Warren and Warren very well might have taken it.
they dont want to hear you OP.
centrists and moderates dont really want shit to change too much, they just want the gears of capitalism to not grind on them too harshly. they dont believe anything is possible outside of what the system allows. for them, the battle for the future is already lost to facists and their goal is just to hold the line and keep the status quo as long as possible.
we're still holding 100% faith in what in the polling shows after 2016, lmao.
"low information voters"
starting early with the dogwhistles I see
I thought the Jedi were all garbage anyway, isn't that like the point of the prequels and the new trilogy
Idk, i dont see myself going to the polls if biden is our nominee. More reaching across the isle olive branch bs. We need somebody who will stomp a mudhole in the gop and their policy. Not another corporate spinless stooge who wants to keep it "civil"The "Don't blame us when we're too unmotivated to vote" shit is tired.
People SHOULD raise legitimate grievances with candidates if they have them. This is literally why the primary exists. No shit. I can't tell you how obnoxious it gets listening to Dems bitch about other Dem candidates like they're not going to line up behind them the moment this shit gets going.
I get that typing in large fonts into the deep recesses of the internet probably is cathartic on some level, but come the fuck on. We don't need a new thread every single time someone gets mad about people wanting to support Biden. There are real problems that could come out of these primaries (divided party? Maryanne Williamson?) and the longer we quibble among each other over stupid shit like whether Biden or Bernie are more electable, the longer those abscesses linger and fester. Just ask Ted Cruz or Jeb! or John Kasich how well it worked hoping a charismatic dolt playing to the fringes would go away on it's own.
What is this? Of course there's low information voters, trump is our president."low information voters"

Black voters both have a large-c conservative subset that will lean more moderate in general, but are also small-c conservative when it comes to going with "the devil you don't" as a collective demographic. Obama going from losing more than 50% of them in 2015 polling to getting 90% in the 2016 elections showed how the demographic can swing pretty hard- but you need to be able to reach out and not come off like a tone-deaf person who's only been campaigning in rural vermont for the past 5 decades. Not to say Bernie didn't make his share of mistakes. I think if you include numbers from the last debate, Warren might have net benefited. Not sure thoughbiden actually went up after that god awful performance, just like i joked he would, smh
EDIT: nvm, i see the dates, he did take a small dip, but seriously, its almost as if the debates meant nothing and might aswell have no even happened
I want to know how anyone thinks he will get his legislation passed when the Democrats aren't going to support his extreme left agenda.

"No one can dislike Bernie who isn't a Neoliberal Shill!"
So you think that the vast majority of the black vote in Democratic primaries shouldn't matter? That seems like a hard thing to defend.I think it's ridiculous and rigged that we count solid red states in the South in the Democratic primary, those states won't vote for a Democrat anyway, if we counted the high population blue states like California and New York Bernie would have won by a country mile
"Low information voters" exploded in popularity as a dogwhistle following Bernie's SC primary loss in 2016, in which he got buried in the margins among black voters. Hillary's black support was instantly and thoroughly branded with that term, and any uses of it in this context attract (deserved) suspicion as a consequence. What is this? Of course there's low information voters, trump is our president.
This is vile. Do you know who the democratic voters in the red states are? People of color. Black women who are the backbone of our party. To say they shouldn't have a voice is disgusting.I think it's ridiculous and rigged that we count solid red states in the South in the Democratic primary, those states won't vote for a Democrat anyway, if we counted the high population blue states like California and New York Bernie would have won by a country mile
Yeah I'm not understanding how people aren't catching that Bernie lost California and New York lolWait how are y'all taking Jenny's post seriously literally read the last line in the historical context
Because it's impossible to tell anymore. lolWait how are y'all taking Jenny's post seriously literally read the last line in the historical context
They don't care about any message or movement, they care about the person leading it.If you even gave a sliver of a shit about moving the country to the left you would vote for a pile of dog shit if it won the Democratic Nomination. Just so we don't get 4 more years of trump.
If you are willing to sit out or vote 3rd party because Bernie doesn't win you deserve all the shit that happens when Trump wins again
What is this? Of course there's low information voters, trump is our president.
Biden hasn't been doing hot in the debates, I'm doubting his longevity big time.

if david duke was the republican nominee and wore a klan hood i guarantee you he would get atleast 20% of the vote
I'm not going to disagree with you. He did a poor job in 2016 because of many of the reasons you posted. I just don't think we have an Obama candidate to do what you described above and people have way too much faith in thinking Biden won't be the nominee.Black voters both have a large-c conservative subset that will lean more moderate in general, but are also small-c conservative when it comes to going with "the devil you don't" as a collective demographic. I'm not saying it would have been easy, I'm saying that the ingredients for a Clinton loss in the 2016 primaries were there, but Bernie couldn't put the puzzle together.
Bernie has less chance for the nomination in 2020 than 2016. Better alternatives this time around.
35 Unfortunately. That's about the GOP floor.trump is electable to this country

Weird, I've literally never heard of any of this."Low information voters" exploded in popularity as a dogwhistle following Bernie's SC primary loss in 2016, in which he got buried in the margins among black voters. Hillary's black support was instantly and thoroughly branded with that term, and any uses of it in this context attract (deserved) suspicion as a consequence.
exactly. This. If we didn't have so many uneducated people he wouldn't have sniffed the white house
Then you stayed out of the bad parts of the internet during the 2016 primary and for that I envy you. Severely so.
