Just a matter of time to be honest, wonder how many more victims there are. Fuck anyone involved with this.
This was one of the most infuriating things I read in the article. No apparently gives enough of a fuck to protect the children there. Deplorable people.

This story is awful but it's absolutely nothing unusual for any type of juvenile detention facility. The tens of thousands of kids in the US thrown into juvenile prisons for "usual" things like selling a bit of weed have to deal with conditions that are oftentimes worse than adult prisons with even less oversight. Abuse, physical and sexual, is rampant there just as it is in the stretotypical hardened federal prisons for the same reasons. Guards don't care and let prisoners abuse each other as a form of self policing.
So of course stuff like this is occurring in migrant camps. Because they've been occurring in places just like it for years and years.

As if the trauma of being held indefinitely is not bad enough, now this. So many of these people will never be whole again.

How can a six year old be legally responsible and fill out any paperwork? And the page actually boldly states the victim is to blame for "presenting sexually inappropriate behavior". This is the six year old. And it's up to this small child to take care of themselves and stay away from their abuser. Am I reading that right? Then after this incident, it happened again. This is fucking insane. There is nothing about this that isn't disgusting and vile.

Yeah the type of people that are okay with kidnapping children are not the type of people that are interested in protecting children. Shocked.
It was inevitable and I hate to say it, but I feel it'll become the norm as time goes on. There will be a lot of innocence and lives lost by the end of this.
